| There are some very common mistakes made by Newbies in the network marketing internet business. I’m not surprised that some of these mistakes are made because I made some of these same mistakes when I first started out. That’s why I’m writing this posting so that I can help others who are first starting out to avoid these mistakes. |

Avoid These Common Mistakes:
1. Failure To Capture Email Addresses
If you’re trying to drive organic(free) traffic to your website, why shouldn’t you take the time to capture their email addresses? Yes, they have to give it to you, but why not take the time and ask them for it? It never hurts to ask!
If a visitor to your site likes what they see and read, they’ll probably be pleased to give you their email address. After all, that means that they can get some more of that good information in the future and they don’t have to take the time to remember your website’s address.
Getting your visitor’s email address allows you to build a relationship with them. You’ll get more visitors to your site who are just looking and not buying, but if you’ll buid a confident relationship with them, they’ll be more likely to buy in the future. And, they’re likely to become repeat customers!
The best way to ask a visitor to your site to give their email address to you is to offer them something free in return. Offer them a free report, advice, or a free tool. Let them know that their email address is safe with you and that they can always opt-out if they no longer want to receive any more emails from you.
It’s easy to create a free report that you can give your visitors in your particular niche. But, if you don’t want to create your own, you can also get them for free. Read my posting Rebranding an Internet Income Opportunity to find out how.
2. Failure To Try To Sell More
If you’ve got a visitor to your site and they’ve decided to make a purchase, don’t be afraid to ask them to make an additional purchase.
It’s always easier to sell someone who has already made a purchase and still has their credit card in-hand.
Do this within seconds after they’ve made their first purchase.
Make sure that the second product that you’re going to try to sell them is somehow related to the first product that they’ve already bought. For example, if you’ve just sold a customer the plans to build solar panels for their home, why not make them an second offer for the plans to build a solar heating unit for their swimming pool? You may increase your profits in your network marketing internet business!
3. Reducing The Cost Of Google Adwords
Remember that I said that it’s important to capture a visitor’s email address? Well, that’s especially important if you’re advertising on Google Adwords!
How many times have you advertised on Google Adwords and your cost to do it was $500 and the sales you made only netted you $450? That’s a net loss of $50.
Well, if you’re capturing email addresses, you’ll have the opportunity to make up that $50 loss with potential sales in the future.
4. Using The Wrong Keywords
All too often and the biggest mistake made by Newbies is that they use the wrong keywords for their websites, articles, and videos. As a result, they get very little traffic and they find it almost impossible to get ranked.
Newbies are anxious to get started – I know, I was there and made the same mistakes. Choosing keywords that are too general and too competitive is a waste of time and energy.
Before you get started, sloooow down, choose the right niche, and the right keywords. Keywords that have enough traffic, but not too much competition.
There is a Google tool that can help you find the right keywords to choose. That tool is at http://www.google.com/sktool/.
This tool will help you find keyword phrases that are relevant to your niche and gives you an estimated level of traffic. Choose keywords that are long-tail(multiple words), have a sufficient amount of daily traffic, and are not too competitive.

5. Using Keywords That Won’t Sell
A BIG MISTAKE!
Some keywords just won’t bring you visitors who are willing to buy. They will only bring you visitors who are looking for information and doing research.
Ask any expert on Google Adwords – there are certain keywords that will bring buyers and other keywords will attract only lookers.
When you choose keywords for your website, articles, and videos, be sure that you use keywords that hungry buyers would use.
So, after you do your keyword research on google.com/sktool, take your chosen keywords to Bing’s Online Commercial Intention Tool and find out what the probability is that those keywords will be words that buyers would use. This tool is FREE to use.
If you’ve found 3-4 keywords that have sufficient amounts of traffic,are not too competitive, and are likely to be used by buyers, you’ve likely found a gold mine!
Now, let me tell you about a tool that can do all of these things for you, and it does it automatically. Yes, it does cost some money, but not that much. I think that at some point, it’ll be used by everyone in the internet marketing or affiliate marketing business.

A Network Marketing Internet Business Backlinking Trick
Creating powerful backlinks to your network marketing internet business is vital for the success of the business. Not just any type of baclinks, but high quality backlinks. This small trick that I’m going to show you will teach you how you can easily find and get those type of backlinks.
Why work harder at getting backlinks when all you have to do is work smarter? This trick will take those high quality backlinks found by others and with some reverse engineering allow you to apply to your own website. Smarter backlinking is the way to go.
Blogs and forums are ideal spots to leave backlinks to your site. On these sites, you can leave a comment and leave a link. This information is nothing new, most everybody knows that. But, there is a more powerful way to do that.
When I go to a blog, I like to review the comments. It’s not so much the comments that I’m interested in, but it’s the “footprints”. When I say “footprints”, I’m talking about the names of those that have made comments and have left a link. These links are usually links to their own sites and is an indication that they were employing their own backlinking strategy.
The thing about these “footprints” is that these same “footprints” are left throughout the internet. People normally sign comments using the same name. I follow these “footprints” and grab their best sites to leave my links.
Take a look at the “footprint” that I found posted on a comment on a blog below:
Someone that had posted a link signed their name as “Marcossp“. To follow this “footprint” and find the best sites for leaving my own backlinks to my network marketing internet business, I have to do two things. First, I have to turn on SEO Quake, and secondly, go to Google Advanced Search.
If you’re not familiar with SEO Quake, it’s a FREE Firefox Plugin and you can download it at ->SEO Quake<- (to learn more about it, you can read my article Build Your Internet Income Opportunity).

Once installed, make sure you turn SEO Quake on by clicking its button on the bottom-right of your screen. Also, be sure to right click on that button and be sure the tool “Line-through nofollow and noindex” is turned on. |
With SEO Quake turned on, I go to Google Advanced Search.
In Google Advanced Search, I enter “by marcossp” on the second line where it says “this exact wording or phrase:” and I change the “Results per page” from 10 to 100.
Now, I click “Advanced Search” and Google returns to me 86 results for the term “by marcossp”.
The next thing I need to do is use the power of SEO Quake. SEO Quake identifies the Page Rank that Google has assigned to these 86 sites. I only want to look at those with the highest Page Rank so if I click on the Page Rank (PR) “down arrow” on SEO Quake’s tool bar, all 86 sites will be rearranged. The highest Page Ranked sites will be at the top and lowest at he bottom.
By clicking on these highest Page Ranked sites, I can see what type of sites they are and if I can leave a backlink to my network marketing internet business. In this particular example, I found the third result was a forum and had a Google Page Rank equal to 5.
Forums are usually excellent spots to leave a backlink. I found “marcossp” remarks and noted that he had left 5 links. What’s important to note is that none of these links have a line through them. Remember, we had turned on SEO Quake’s tool so that it would identify all nofollow links by drawing a line through them. Since there are no lines, these are dofollow links. Perfect!
Now, all I had to do was register to the forum and leave my own Page Rank 5 backlinks! This is one of the easiest ways to get powerful high quality backlinks. Remember, you can repeat this process as many times as you want and get as many backlinks as you want.
You might be thinking, “Yeah, but that particular forum is not related to my niche”. Well, it might not be and it doesn’t have to be. It’s still a powerful backlink. Yes, backlinks from a forum related to your niche would even be more powerful if it had a Page Rank of 5 or better, but how me forums are you going to find in your niche? Probably, not many.
This particular backlinking trick I learned from a FREE course that I got when I bought some other nifty software. This free course is called the Backlink Blueprint and this backlinking trick is only a fraction of what’s in the entire course.

Enter up to 10 of your keywords into the Rank Decoding Software and ask it to find those sites that consistently rank high in your niche. If you don’t already have back links from these sites, then that’s what you need to work on in the immediate future.
Market Samurai provides you the most relevant keywords that you should be using in your niche, and the Rank Decoding Software provides you the most relevant sites to those keywords, you can rest assured that the back links that you are building are from the most relevant high authority sites in your niche.
2. Watch Your Rankings Rise…
If you have the full version of Market Samurai, enter your keywords and URL into Market Samurai’s Rank Tracking Module and watch your rankings rise as you build those high authority back links. Not only is it encouraging to watch your rankings rise, but it also assures you that your efforts are not being wasted.
3. Post Feeder Pages
Don’t just build back links from commenting on other blogs and websites, post articles (feeder pages) on Web 2.0 websites such as Squidoo, Hubpages, and Buzzle. Link these to your main website. Build Internet Income Opportunity With 1 Way Links
Building links that point at your internet income opportunity is so important. After all, that’s how Google and all the major search engines decide how and where to rank your websites. To the Google bot, a link to your website is a “vote” for your website and the more “votes” that you have, the higher your website will rank.
More important than the number of links, however, are the quality of those links. One good, quality link to your website can mean more than hundreds of other links. That’s why it’s important to concentrate on building quality links and not just quantity.
Times have changed and so have Google’s spiders. One way that links are created is by using reciprocal links. That’s where two website owners agree to share links to each others website. Google’s spiders know this and that’s why reciprocal links are no longer considered high quality links.
One way links are the best type of links to get. A one way link is a link to your website from another website that you have not shared a link with.
One excellent way to get one way links to your website is to post articles on EzineArticles. Google has been in love with EzineArticles for a long time. You can post unique articles on EzineArticles and add a link to your website in the author’s biography area. This is considered a high, quality one way back link.
Other Web 2.0 websites where you can get quality one way links to your website are Squidoo, HubPages, Scribd, Weebly, and Buzzle. All of these sites require you to post articles with unique content and they allow you to build one way links back to your website.
Another way to build one way links to your internet income opportunity is to build other blogs and link them to your main website. Just be sure that the blogs you create are related to the theme on your main website. For example, if your website is about dog training, the blogs you create should also be about dogs or dog training. Also, if you can, create these blogs using a spouses or relatives name and email. Otherwise, Google’s spiders might find a “footprint” and reduce the value of that link.
You can create free blogs at WordPress.com and at Blogger.
There are services on the internet that tell you that they will create back links to your website for you. Be wary of these “schemes”. Besides having to pay for these schemes, the back links they create are recognized by Google’s spiders as a “scheme” and doesn’t credit them for being a link to your site.
Google’s spiders recognize these “schemes” in two ways:
1. The back links are created too quickly, and
2. The spiders trace the source of this link building to one company’s name.
Over time, Google’s spiders have learned to be smart. That’s why these type of services don’t work. That is, up to now!
Now, there is a service called 1 Way Links that has built an automated back linking system that the Google Spiders will never be able to identify or find. This system builds quality one way links from over 3,500 individually owned blogs and it does it in a “natural way” – it builds these links over time.
These 3500 blog owners have agreed to participate in this service. No blog owner owns more than one site in this service. The other thing that these blog owners have agreed to do is manually approve all links and posts to their sites. This means that no spammy looking posts or links are approved. This makes them look “natural”.
The system is easy to use. You create a post that contains a minimum of 250 words and can contain 3 hyperlinks to your site. Next, you enter how many posts you want it posted on and enter how fast you want them posted. Now, hit “enter”. That’s it! Quality one way links are created to your site in a natural way.
It’s suggested that you start out slow on this – no more than 3-5 per day. Over time, you can increase this.
You can also spin this content for the posts. If you’re not familiar with “spinning” article content, read my article called Spinning Articles To Make Your Internet Income Opportunity. But, if you do know what “spinning” article content is, it’s suggested that you use the The Best Spinner.
Link building can be a time consuming and boring process. But, NO LINKS=NO RANKING. And, if you’re going to build links, build quality 1 Way Links. That’s the best way to build your internet income opportunity.
Build Your Internet Income Opportunity With High Page Rank Links
Linking is not much fun, but it’s something you have to do to build an internet income opportunity from free traffic. After all, Google and all of the major search engines won’t put you on page 1 unless you have a significant number of links pointing to your website. But, there is a way to reduce the quantity needed.
Google gives all websites a Page Rank value. That value ranges from 0-10 with zero being the lowest value and ten being the highest. Most websites have a “0″ value and getting back links from these sites does help, but you’ll need hundreds or even thousands of these to get ranked on the first page of Google.
You are much better off if you can get links to your website from websites that are ranked “2″ or higher by Google. Google gives a lot more credit to these type of links. You’ll need much fewer links to get ranked on page 1. So, how do you find websites that you can build links from that have these higher ranks? I’ll show you.
First, download and install this FREE Fire Fox software —>SEO QUAKE<—.
Once you have successfully downloaded this software, go to Google’s search box and look for forums related to the keywords that you use on your website. You can do this by entering “YourKeyword Forums” in the search box.
If you don’t find any forums by using your keywords, change your Google search by using another word that is related to your keyword or website. The important thing is to find forums that are related to your website. There are thousands of forums out there and you’ll find several, I’m sure.
Select the url of one of these forums and copy it. You’ll next be analyzing the highest ranking posts on this selected forum. Now, go to Google’s “Advanced Search” tab and click on it:
Now, however, is when our good friend SEO Quake comes in handy. If you haven’t already done it, click on the button on the bottom-right of your screen and turn SEO Quake on. Be sure to click your Refresh button, also.
You should now see results similar to the picture further below. Notice that I have highlighted two spots. If you click the down arrow at the top, Google will rearrange these pages from the highest ranking pages to the lowest. Note, in the second highlight, that the first page listed has a Page Rank of 2. These are the types of pages that you want to leave comments on and link back to your website.
It’s important that you make good comments on these pages or they are likely to be deleted. Most comments are reviewed by website owners and if they appear to be spam, they’re likely to be removed. If you can’t think of a good comment to leave, do a Google search and find something so that you can make a constructive comment.
Your likely to find that most pages you check have a Google Page Rank of either “0″ or “n/a”. These are the types of pages that most people use to make their back links from. That’s one reason why most websites never make it to page 1 of Google. It takes hundreds or even thousands of them to make even a small difference – not likely to help your internet income opportunity.

This technique works and it might take you some time to master it. Just remember, you’ll need many fewer links to get your internet income opportunity ranked high on the major search engines.
A Legitimate Business Opportunity Depends Upon List Building
Building a list of potential buyers is vital to any legitimate business opportunity that’s being done online. Last week, I wrote an article titled “Build Repeat Customers To Your Internet Income Opportunity” where I explained the importance of list building and I suggested a couple of email marketing sites that could be used to build and manage these lists. Today, I wanted to discuss a method to help you to grow your list so that you have hundreds of potential customers on that list.
Many websites will add an opt-in box to their home page and will either ask people to sign up to get future information when available or to get a weekly/monthly newsletter. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? Well, of course not and that’s why these types of opt-in boxes don’t work! Very few visitors will ever sign up in this type of opt-in box. But, I’m surprised at how many times I see this.
The best opt-in boxes should offer something that is critical or compelling to your visitors. Or, it should be something that stirs their curiosity. For example, if someone had a website related to cooking, a good opt-in box might say, “Get my 5 Secret Gourmet Recipes for preparing Steak Tartare. Please enter your Name and Email Address”.
Visitors to your site will always be reluctant to leave their email address. This makes them feel vulnerable. But, if you can offer them something whereby they feel like they are making a gain, they are much more likely to do it.
At this point, you might be thinking, “Well, I don’t have anything free to give them, what do I do next?” Of course, you could make something such as a free report or article. Or, find it on the internet.
There are globs of free articles and PDF’s on the internet that are available for you to use to help you build a legitimate business opportunity – just check the copy write issues. You can find many of these by using Google Search. For example, if I go to Google Search and type in “steak tartare +free PDF”, the first listing returned to me is Steak Tartare.pdf (1 KB) – Free Ebook Download. It’s that simple.
Once you have made or found something of value, there are a couple of other things that you need to do to your opt-in box:
1. Change the “Subscribe” button to say “Free Ebook” or something along those lines, and
2. Put a message under the button that says something like, “Don’t worry, we hate SPAM, too! We’ll never share your address with anyone!” This will relax your visitors.
