Facebook Advertising Is A Legitimate Business Opportunity

Since its creation from a Harvard dorm room in 2004, Facebook has grown to over 500 MILLION USERS and that number is SKYROCKETING. More than 50% of those users use it on a daily basis. |

In January 2010, Facebook set a record by displacing Google as the top site where the most web pages are viewed.
So, if you advertise on Adwords, don’t pass up advertising on Facebook. You can do it for far less money and you can target your customers so much better. You can target buyers who have already qualified themselves in a particular target market.
Here, let me show you how to do it:
Go to http://www.facebook.com/advertising and you’ll get a page similar to the one below:
Once on that page, click the “Create an Ad” button located in the upper, right hand side of that page.
Now, you’ll get a page similar to the one above. Fill in your ads destination URL, give your ad a title, and provide some text for the body of the ad. And, do you see what’s next?
Yes, your ad can have an image with it! That’s one neat thing about Facbook advertising.
When finished, click the “Continue” button and you’ll get a page similar to the one below:
On these pages is where your legitimate business opportunity really begins to take shape. These pages allow you to target your market very specifically – in ways that you can’t do on Google Adwords.
You can target buyers by age, sex, relationships, and even birthdays! But, it’s the box that appears just below the box above that I like best. See the image below:
Likes and Interests! This box is MOST IMPORTANT!
In this box you can get very focused on particular types of buyers. For example, if you were promoting one of Clickbank’s products called World of Warcraft, you could put that into the “Likes and Interests” box. Then, only those people that have used those terms in their own profiles would view your ad. This insures that your ads are highly targeted!
Now, one thing that I need to mention is that as you are checking boxes or adding phrases to target your potential buyers, Facbook is keeping track of it. Facebook provides you an estimate of the number of potential viewers that will see your ad. That estimate appears to the right of the images above. It looks like the image below:
The reason I didn’t show it in the images up above is that the image would’ve been so big that when I downsized it to fit on this page, you wouldn’t have been able to read what is written on those pages. I apologize for that.
Moving on.
The last bit of information that you have to complete before placing your ad order is the Campaigns, Pricing and Scheduling box.
Here, you select a campaign name and can enter a daily budget. If you haven’t advertised on Facebook before, I would encourage you to keep your daily budget low. Facebook advertising takes some practice.
Schedule your ad for the days that you want your ad to show. Maybe you want your ads only to show on weekends. If so, make that selection.
Last, choose how you want to pay for your ads. Do you want to pay on a Pay for Click(CPC) or Pay for Impressions(CPM) basis? Facebook will provide you an estimate of what it thinks you should pay for both of these. But, it’s your decision. You decide and enter that into the box.
I’ve found on a CPC basis that I pay about one-third of what I have to pay on Google Adwords.
After filling out these forms, your ad can start running. You’re done. Your legitimate business opportunity has been created. Keep track of it and watch the profits roll in.
Build Your Network Marketing Internet Business By Selling Physical Products – Part 1

After all, almost every internet marketing course teaches their students to sell these type of products. In fact, I don’t know of one beginner’s course that doesn’t.
That’s why I’ve lately started to change my marketing efforts and I’m moving towards selling more physical products. It’s much larger and much less competitive.
Last year, physical products were a 210 billion dollar industry while informational products were only a 1 billion dollar industry. That means that the physical product industry is over 200 times larger than the informational product industry! Here are some other reasons why I like the physical product industry:
- Higher traffic to sales ratio
- Less refunds
- It’s “Evergreen” – you can sell it now and years from now
- Higher quality traffic and buyer frequency
People much prefer to buy a physical product versus an informational product. With informational products, people are always searching the internet to see if they can find their answers for “free”. With physical products, people have often made up their mind on exactly what they want and they are searching the internet only to find the best place to buy it.
Yes, commission percentages are usually much lower when you sell a physical product compared to an informational product, but you need to think in terms of dollars, not percentages. If you sell a $400 Nikon camera and receive an 8% commission, you would receive a $32 commission. That’s still more that if you sold a $50 informational product that was paying a 60% commission.
My network marketing internet business will always sell informational products, but my business is definitely branching out more into physical products – especially those physical products that have a higher price tag.
Where do I find physical products to sell? Well, there are many affiliate networks besides Clickbank that do have physical products that you as an affiliate can sell. Sites like Commission Junction and Linkshare have physical products. But, I usually use a different method to find businesses that are looking for affiliates.
Let’s say that you want to sell iPhones or iPhone related products. All you have to do is go to Google Search and enter iPhones +affilates and hit “enter” and you’ll get returned to you a listing of sites that are looking for affiliates to sell their iPhone products. See the image below:
Another method to use is to enter iPhone “affiliate program” into Google Search. You’ll get similar results.
Before you start promoting any product, informational or physical, you have to do your research. Research is so important to a network marketing internet business.
I don’t like to promote products unless they are growing in popularity. If the industry is dying, it will be difficult to sell products.
The tool that I use to check this with is called Google Trends. It will show the strength of the market for any particular product for the past 6 years.
For example, I was considering to start promoting camping equipment until I did some research on Google Trends. See the image below to see the results I got when I entered “camping equipment” into it’s search bar:
Camping equipment appears to be a slow dying industry – see the downward sloping line? I was shocked! Now, that doesn’t mean I couldn’t make money in that industry, but unless something turns that industry around, my income from the efforts that I put into it would probably keep going down. I decided to look elsewhere.
Next, I entered “buy iPhones” into Google Trends search bar and I got the following results:
Not only is buying iPhones a recent industry, but it’s booming and appears to be growing. These are all good signs!
Now, all I have to do is set up a very focused, but simple website dedicated to one, high priced iPhone product and promote it. Building that site and promoting it should not take but about 3 hours to do. After that, my network marketing internet business will be promoting another physical product online that has money making potential for years to come.

There are 90+ networks listed here that you can join. Find the Network that you’re looking for, click on it and sign up.
After signing up at that Network, find the product offer that you were looking for and secure your affiliate link.

Blogging Can Be Made Into An Internet Income Opportunity
Do you have a blog, yet? Many people start blogs as an avenue to express themselves or to share ideas with family members and friends. But, blogging can also be an internet income opportunity. And, if done properly, it can be a huge source of income.
Many products are sold on the internet through blogs. In most cases, the people selling these products don’t even own the products. They are selling other people’s or organization’s products and when they sell the product they receive a commission. This is called affiliate marketing.
Commission percentages can run anywhere from 3% to as high as 75%. You have to check with each vendor to determine what commission percentage they are willing to pay.
Finding products to sell on your blog is easy. For example, if you have a blog centered around cooking, you can go to Google search and type in “recipe cookbooks +affiliates”, hit “enter”, and Google will return to you a huge list of publishers who are looking for affiliates to sell their cookbooks. You can do this for any search term.
There are also some huge markets that deal only with products that are intended to be sold by affiliate marketers. Three of the biggest are Clickbank, Commission Junction, and PayDotCom. These are all free to join.
Google even has their own market similar to these. It’s called the Google Affiliate Network. Check it out.
If you don’t have a blog, but you would like to take advantage of an internet income opportunity, you should consider making your own blog. You can make your own blog for free. Blogger.com and WordPress.com are two websites where you can create your own blogging website and it will cost you nothing to do it. They provide you the templates to get started, and the information and directions on how to create your own blog. Google’s search engines love these two websites.
The downside to Blogger.com and WordPress.com is that they have a limited number of templates to choose from so you are limited on how your blog will look. They also do not allow any custom plugins so you are limited on how much your blog can do for you.
An alternate website that many affiliate marketers use is WordPress.org. Google’s search engines love this website, also. On the plus side, you can upload your own custom templates and plugins. You can also change codes. This means that there is no limit to how your website can look and no limits to what it can do.
On the downside, you must have more technical knowledge. Also, while creating a website on WordPress.org is free, you do have to provide your own domain name and hosting. Hosting on sites like Hostgator, Namecheap, or GoDaddy will cost between $7-$15 per month and domain names can be purchased from $3-$12 per year.
There is one last website I would like to discuss. If you are going to create a blog with the intent to make money, you need to be aware that you need to get your blog ranked on the first page of Google’s search engines in order to get much free traffic (read Boost Your Internet Income Opportunity for more info on how to get ranked). That means you will have to make two or more postings per week to your blog. This is where a blogging website called WordPress Direct comes in handy.
WordPress Direct is similar to WordPress.org. They provide hundreds of templates to choose from or you can upload your own custom templates. You can choose any plugins that you want and you can change codes. But, the most unique feature that WordPress Direct has to offer is that it has some unique, custom plugins that can generate articles and videos automatically and post them to your site. This relieves you from doing much of the work – particularly, if you don’t like to write.
Once again, the downside to WordPress Direct is that you have to buy your own domain name and hosting. Also, WordPress Direct has a monthly fee. But, if you are making money with your blogs, the small fee is easy to handle. Especially, for the time and service that WordPress Direct saves you (for more info on WordPress Direct, read my short article Home Work Business Opportunities).

If you have ever done pay per click advertising before, and, if you were trying to sell a Clickbank product, it was sometimes difficult to track your sales by keywords used. That’s because if you were advertising on Google Adwords, Yahoo, or MSN, you had to get their conversion codes and then email it to the merchant. The merchant had to DO it for you.
There were problems with doing that. Sometimes it took a lot of time to get it done. Sometimes it skewed the results for everyone. And, sometimes you could not find an email address for the merchant. Problems, problems, problems….
Now, that”s all changed thanks to Clickbank! Your conversion code can now be added right into your Clickbank account. Once you have done this, when you check your PPC accounts at Google, Yahoo, or MSN you can find the exact keyword that led to your sales! You will also be able to determine which keywords are only costing you money and are not delivering sales. This is a big advantage to you on helping you make profits with your internet income opportunity.
Here’s how to do this. If you don’t have your conversion code, go get it – you will need it.
1. Sign into your Clickbank account.
2. Click on “Account Settings” at the top.
3. Scroll down the page until you find the box labeled “INTEGRATED SALES REPORTING”.
4. Click “Edit”.
5. Find the green button that says “ADD TRACKING CODE” and click it.
6. Follow the furnished diagram and paste in your code.
That’s it! Your done! So easy, quick, and simple. Now, you can track sales by the exact keyword used and you can do it all by yourself.
One word of CAUTION for some of you. If you have already emailed your conversion code to the merchant, you will get double reporting if you add your conversion code to your Clickbank account. So, if you have already been tracking by keyword, you have to factor in the double reporting, or get the merchant to remove your conversion code, or start a new Clickbank account (not a problem – I have three already).

Another Marketplace To Take Advantage Of An Internet Income Opportunity
To take advantage of an internet income opportunity, most affiliates selling products and most vendors that are using affiliates to sell products that they have created, use Clickbank. Clickbank is a huge marketplace with over 12,000 informational products. It’s the largest marketplace of its’ kind. Clickbank is easy to use and it’s reliable. But, did you know that there are other marketplaces that might not be as big as Clickbank, but they are still large and just as reliable? One such marketplace is called PayDotCom.
PayDotCom also has thousands of products on its’ marketplace. But, unlike Clickbank, many of the products for sale at PayDotCom are physical in nature. And, yes, many of them are informational products as well.
For affiliates, PayDotCom is free to join. You can earn commissions from 5% to 80%. When you are ready to promote a product, you join the vendor’s affiliate program. The vendor will pay your commissions monthly either by PayPal or check. The vendor makes the decision on how he is going to pay these commissions. So, when you get ready to promote a product, pay special attention to the vendor’s payment method. If it going to be by PayPal, you will have to open a PayPal account.
For providing the marketplace, PayDotCom receives $.50 to $1.50 of the affiliates commission for each transaction that was made. This amount is determined by the selling price of the product or service. The vendor will withdraw this amount from the affiliate’s total commission and make the payment to PayDotCom so that the affiliate doesn’t have to.
Affiliates that normally promote products on Clickbank, should check the PayDotCom’s marketplace to see if the same product is being offered in both marketplaces. In the past, when I have found the same product in both marketplaces, I have found the commissions to be higher in the PayDotCom marketplace.
For vendor’s that want to sell products using PayDotCom affiliates, it’s free to sign up at PayDotCom. Now, that’s unusual! Clickbank charges vendors $30 for every product line that they list at Clickbank. At PayDotCom it’s free for the first one and after that it’s a one-time flat fee of less than $30 for an UNLIMITED number of product lines. That’s ridiculously low and if a business doesn’t want to invest $30 to take advantage of this internet income opportunity, they need to be doing something else.
Vendor’s get immediate payment with PayDotCom. At Clickbank, vendors have to wait until the affiliate has made at least 5 credit card sales. That sometimes takes a long time.
At PayDotCom, the vendor decides what kind of return policy they are going to give, if any. Clickbank requires a guaranteed 60 day money back guarantee.
Physical products can be sold on PayDotCom, not just informational. That’s right! You can sell books, tools, clothes, or informational manuals. Vendor’s are not limited to what they can sell.
If you haven’t done so, check out PayDotCom. Affiliates can find additional products to sell, sometimes with higher commissions. For vendor’s, it’s another reliable marketplace to find affiliates to sell your products without all the restrictions that Clickbank has. Affiliates and vendors both should both take advantage of this internet income opportunity.
