Sure, Google still has more traffic than Facebook, by about 10%. I checked traffic estimates this morning and Google is getting 159.4 million visitors per month, but Facebook came in a close second at 145.4 million.
But, when you consider how much better you can target your customers with Facebook advertising, you’re much better off with Facebook.
In Facebook Advertising, you can target your audience by city, state, nation, or to the whole world. You can target your audience by language, age, sex, race, education, marriage, likes, dislikes, interests, and keywords. You can even target your audience by places where they work or even their date of birth.
The best way to figure out how to target your audience is to choose a website in your niche that ranks high on Google’s search page and submit that site to Quantcast. Quantcast will return to you a host of information that will help you target the best market for that product.
For example, let’s say you’re trying to sell an ebook on learning how to play bass guitar. If you go to Google.com and enter “learn how to play bass guitar”, the #1 site returned to you is “studybass.com”. If you enter “studybass.com” into Quantcast, you get the following information returned to you:
Now, with this information you can go to Facebook Advertising and target your audience to males, 13 years old or older, Caucasian, and with an income of $30,000 or more per year. That’s a highly targeted market.

I have three more tips for you on Facebook Advertising and home work business opportunities:
1. Include UGLY or UNUSUAL ad pictures – You want your ad to jump out at people. I see so many ads that use the standard beautiful picture. These don’t jump out at you – you expect it! Use a picture that nobody would expect to see so that have to do a double-take. Or, turn the picture sideways or upside down.
2. Avoid BANNER BLINDNESS – Change the appearance of your ad at least every other day. People get use to seeing ads and after a while their mind won’t even think about looking at the ad. Every other day either change the picture, or add a border, or change print colors, or add arrows. Change something!
3. Advertise for PENNIES – You have two choices for paying for your ads – either on a Cost-Per-Click (CPC) or on a Cost-Per-Thousand (CPM) basis. Don’t be afraid to examine both rates and choose the best one.
I was recently setting up an add and for CPC advertising, Facebook had a suggested CPC rate of $.99. That means that for every time my ad was clicked, I was going to almost have to pay almost one dollar.
But, Facebook’s suggested CPM rate was only $.43. That means that for 43 cents my ad was going be shown 1000 times. Which one do you think I chose?
Even if my ad got clicked only 1% of the time, I would get 10 clicks in those 1000 impressions – that’s $.43 for those 10 clicks using the CPM basis or $9.90 using th CPC basis.
That’s right, I chose the CPM basis for my advertising!

The keywords that you’re using are vital for any online business. That’s no secret. But, did you know that most people that are trying to take advantage of these online home work business opportunities are missing out on one key factor in their keyword research? And, what is that factor? It’s called keyword commerciality.
There are 4 Golden Rules in keyword research. These rules are:
1. Relevant – The keyword needs to be relevant to your site.
2. Traffic – The keyword needs to be capable of generating high levels of traffic.
3. Competition – The keyword needs acceptable levels of competition.
4. Commerciality – The keyword needs the potential to drive high levels of profit.
The first two rules are followed by almost everyone that’s been in the business even for a short amount of time. The last two are a different story.
If a keyword has too much competition, it will be extremely difficult to get the search engines to rank you on page one. Think of each of your keywords as a pipe with a certain amount of monetary flow passing through it.
A high commerciality keyword is a large pipe with a strong cash flow. Find and use one of these keywords and you have a large profit potential.
A low commerciality keyword is a small pipe. Not much cash will flow through it. Use one of these keywords and you won’t make much money.
Every keyword you choose has the potential to not only attract traffic, but also to attract buyers. How many times have you heard a webmaster say that he worked for months to get his website up to page one on Google, but nobody bought anything? It happens all the time!
That’s because the keyword’s commerciality was not investigated before the keyword was chosen. That’s a BIG MISTAKE!

Unleash Floods Of Traffic To Your Internet Income Opportunity
Traffic is the biggest problem for anyone trying to take advantage of an internet income opportunity. Making a website is easy. Obtaining an affiliate product to sell is easy. But, neither one of these will make you a dime unless you can get traffic to them. And, that’s where most people fail.
Let me show you a way to unleash a flood of traffic to your internet income opportunity. This is a simple, but basically unknown technique. It involves four steps:
- Find the video (NO! Not make, FIND)
- Contact
- Negotiate
- Link
That’s it! Four easy steps to a flood of traffic. Now let me explain these four steps in a little more detail.
Step1
Find the video – Yes, find a video on YouTube that’s related to your website or product and one that gets lots of traffic.
Why YouTube? Because on some days, YouTube gets as many visitors as Google.
Why not make a video? Well, you can. But, who wants to do all that work? You would have to do good keyword/market research. You would have to make the video. You would have to promote the video and drive traffic to it…and that’s our problem to begin with.
So, go to YouTube and type in a keyword for your website/product in the search box and look for a video that has these three elements:
1. A minimum of 50,000 views to date.
2. Check the “Statistics & Data” info to insure that the video is still getting sufficient traffic. If you have not done this before, the picture below shows where to click to find this information.
Once clicked, you will get the statistical data delivered to you. It should appear similar to the picture below.
This particular example was a video about an owner playing with her dog. It might be useful to someone that had a website or product related to dogs or dog training. This video has been viewed 209,106 times since it was first viewed on March 29, 20010 and the bulk of those views have been made since April 5th. Traffic is still climbing.
3. Check to see if there is any affiliate link attached to the video. If an affiliate link is attached, pass on the video because the affiliate using it would know that he has a winner. The Affiliate would not likely sell it and if he would the price would be too high. If there’s not an affiliate link already attached, such as in the video above, you have found a video that holds potential for you.
Step 2
Contact the video’s owner – Send a private message on YouTube to the owner of the video and tell them that you enjoyed the video and would like to buy it. Don’t throw out a price, yet.
They will normally get back with you and ask, “How much?”
Step 3
Negotiate the price – Prices vary for these videos, but if there is less than a 1,000,000 views, I normally offer them $100-$300. If the videos are over 1,000,000 views, I will normally go up to $500-$800.
When you do this, you need to realize that you are not just buying the video – that’s not really what you are interested in. You are buying the traffic to that video – that’s where the potential for your internet income opportunity is at. And, to buy that traffic, you have to buy the seller’s entire YouTube account.
That’s usually not a big deal to the seller. The seller can always open another YouTube account and they can transfer any other videos they might have into that new account. But, you need the original account with this highly viewed video because that’s where all of the traffic is flowing to.
You’ll be surprised at how little you can buy these for. Most the time, these videos are just made for fun and they are flattered that someone would want to buy it. Nearly 80% of these viral videos are not related to affiliate marketers and they’re not aware of how much power their video could mean to an affiliate marketer.
After they ask, how much, negotiate with them until you can achieve a purchase price that both you and the seller are satisfied with.
When you make the transaction, use PayPal for the transfer of funds. If you send them the money and they don’t send you their YouTube user name and password, PayPal will usually reimburse you. PayPal usually protects the interests of the purchaser.
Step 4
Add your links – Once you’ve purchased the seller’s YouTube account, you can now go to that video and add your affiliate links – links to either your website or direct links to your product. You can also go in and add on-screen prompts into the video so that your website’s URL or product links pop up once or twice while the movie is playing. Now, you are in business with loads of free traffic!
Take a look at the profit potential. In this particular example, the video has been viewed 209,106 times during the last 12 days. That’s an average of 17,425 times per day. Google’s records indicate that visitors will click on links attached to these videos at a rate of 7.5%. If you take 7.5% of 17,425, that would mean that your link would be visited 1,306 times per day. This is highly targeted free traffic. If you had a 2% conversion rate, you would make 26 sales per day. If your commission (for example, on a dog training product) was $35/sale, your total commission would be $910/day!
That’s a nice commission – more than enough to pay for your original investment with only one day of sales. Viewers will be watching this video for years to come and that’s only one video – think about how many more of these you could get! That’s how to get a flood of traffic to your internet income opportunity and turn a nice profit.
While You’re Unemployed, Find A Legitimate Business Opportunity On The Internet
If you’re unemployed, use a lot of that extra time that you have to find a legitimate business opportunity on the internet. There are not many regular jobs out there. With unemployment hovering around 10% (and much higher in many states), employers are reluctant to do much hiring. Many experts are forecasting that it will be 3-4 years before we see much of a drop in unemployment. So, don’t give up, use this time to create your own internet income opportunity. Make your own business. It’s not as hard as you may think.
First thing you need to do before you decide which legitimate business opportunity it is that you want to tackle, is to determine how much money you need to make on a daily basis to sustain your way of living. If you’re working from home, it will be less than you think.
For example, if your rent or house payment is $900/month, that’s about $30/day (based on 30 days/month). Groceries about $10/day (if you spend about $70/week). Electricity $6/day, water and sewage $3/day, cable TV $2/day, telephone $2/day, high speed internet $1.50/day, automobile payment $8.50/day, auto insurance $3/day, and miscellaneous expenses $4/day. That’s a total of $70/day in total expenses. Now, you need to find a legitimate business opportunity on the internet that will provide you with an income of at least $70/day.
Keep in mind that making money on the internet is not a get rich quick scheme. Sure, there have been those that have immediately made thousands of dollars. But, that’s like winning the lottery. It can be done, but it’s not likely to happen.
The important thing about finding a legitimate business opportunity on the internet is to find an opportunity that is consistently and regularly providing you an income. You will likely have to take advantage of a number of different opportunities, with each one providing you a chunk of income that is covering different parts of your expenses.
For example, you may have a blog on weight loss that is linking to different weight loss programs that is providing you with an average income of $12/day. Well, that’s covering groceries and telephone expenses.
Start another blog, say on exercise equipment. Build it up and after a while the income from it may be covering your automobile payment and its insurance.
Cover all of your expenses by bits and pieces. Besides blogs, you may want to do some pay per click advertising (for tips, read my article PPC Is A Legitimate Business Opportunity). Perhaps this will provide you enough income to cover your house payments. And, try article marketing on Ezinearticles and Squidoo (see Bum Marketing Is A Legitimate Business Opportunity). Article marketing may provide you enough income to cover the balance of your expenses and start providing you enough cash to put in your savings account.
Providing yourself an income by bits and pieces is insurance for you. Now, I’m not saying that you don’t want to land on a big money maker – we all want that. I’m just saying that you want to diversify your income. You never know when one of your sources of income may dry up. If you have diversified your income, you may get a little “thirsty” when one of your sources dries up, but you can survive until you have found another legitimate business opportunity.
Try Fishing On Adbrite To Catch Your Internet Income Opportunity
Pay-per-click advertising on Google is like fishing on a big river that is full of anglers. It’s crowded. Everybody is trying to catch an internet income opportunity. The problem is that it’s hard to find a spot in the river where you can throw your hook and not get tangled up with someone else’s line. And, once you do get your hook in the water, you find there are only small fish to catch because the bigger ones have been caught further up the river.
This is similar to the kind of problems I had with pay-per-click advertising on Google Adwords. Google is certainly a big stream with a lot of fish in it, but there are thousands-upon-thousands of advertisers fishing in it. The cost for your keywords that you want to use are high. It is very competitive. You also have to battle with your ad’s quality score on Google Adwords. It’s a struggle.
These are the reasons why I have chosen to fish in smaller streams where there are fewer anglers, but there are still a lot of fish to catch. It’s easier to snag an internet income opportunity. One of those streams that I fish in is called Adbrite. It’s an excellent platform to use for affiliate marketing.
Adbrite serve ads on more than 650,000,000 page views per day. They serve ads on eBay, AOL, Photobucket, MyLifeIsAverage, Facebook, and thousands of other sites. If you want to, you can even select the sites you want your ads to appear on for niche targeting. You can target your ads by location (US, UK, Japan, etc), by category (business, health and wellness, parenting, etc.), by by demographic info (gender and age), and by keywords. Adbrite has their own conversion tracking system that you can use and you can run text ads, banner ads, or full page ads.
The cost to run ads on Adbrite is much lower than Google Adwords. You specify what’s the maximum amount you want to pay and it can be as low as $.05/click. I have used keywords on Adbrite that I paid $.05 for that I use to pay $1.17 for on Google Adwords. You can also tell Adbrite what’s the maximum amount of money you want to spend per day.
Adbrite does not provide a quality score for your ad. So, you don’t get penalized like you do on Google Adwords. I never found the quality score that I got at Google Adwords to be of help. It only lowered my ads position or increased my cost.
So, if you have been fishing in that big river crowded with other anglers, you may want to try this smaller stream. There are still a lot of fish, and big ones too, that are waiting to be caught. Take a look at Adbrite and give it a try! I bet you’ll catch an internet income opportunity.

You can find an income opportunity home based business by learning affiliate marketing. What is affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing is where you act as a middle man and you sell someone else’s product to someone who is interested in buying the product. You, as the middle man, don’t even have to see the product that is sold. As an affiliate marketer, all you have to do is find good products to sell and find hot markets to sell those products in. Affiliate marketing is a legitimate business opportunity for someone who wants to make a living from home. It is not a Get-Rich-Quick scheme.
Learning the ropes to affiliate marketing is the key to success. One place where you can learn those ropes is at a site called Affilorama. Joining this site is free.
