As I have said before, if you are trying to make money from a website that you have created, the only way to make a steady income from it is by getting lots of visitors to your website. And, to get lots of visitors, your website has to be found on the first page of the search engines…most people searching on the internet rarely look beyond the first page.
I’ve explained in previous articles on how to get your website found on the first page and I’m not going to go into much detail on that in this article. So, as you probably already know, the secret to off-page optimization of a website is creating loads of backlinks to your website where you are trying to make money. Google, and the other search engines, consider these backlinks as a “positive vote” for your website and the more you have, the more likely it is that your website will show up on the first page of the search engines.
In this article, I want to show you an easy way to get hundreds of these backlinks for FREE.
Most of you are probably using article submission sites to link to your main websites (and, if you’re not doing it, that’s a big mistake). Many of these article submission sites create an RSS FEED for you. The secret is…you need to take these RSS feeds and submit them to RSS directories. This will create 100′s of backlinks to your websites where you are trying to take advantage of an internet income opportunity.
Let me show you an example:
Ezinearticles is one popular article submission site, and I use it also. Take a look at the picture below:

If you go to one of your articles that you have posted there and if you click on your profile name, you will be taken to a page where you will see the RSS feed that Ezinearticles has created for you.
Click on your RSS fee button and you will be taken to a page where the URL address for your RSS feed appear in your browsers window.
Right click on your address and “Save” that address.
Now, open another window on your screen and go to a website called Robin Good’s MasterNewMedia.org.
This website provides hundreds of directories that you can submit your blogs and RSS feeds into. To find these directories, click on the article on the right hand side of the page that is called “Where To Submit Your RSS Feed or Blog”.
You are taken to a page that has some Google Adsense ads up towards the top of the page, but if you scroll down towards the bottom of the page, you will find the directories that you are looking for.Some are paid directories, but many of them are free…just look around until you find the ones that you want.
Today, while writing this article, I submitted my Ezinearticles feed to a directory called Open Feed Directory. Take a look at it here:
This directory is free to use and the directions to use it are easy to follow.
The best thing about adding your feed to these directories is that all of the articles that you have already entered into the original article submission site (such as Ezinearticles) is instantly awarded another free backlink.So, if you had previously written 15 articles and submitted them to Ezinearticle, all 15 of them will earn an additional backlink.
And, any future articles that you do write and submit to these article submission sites is instantly updated on these RSS feed directories and awarded a backlink that you don’t have to do any extra work for.
You know, when I first got started with online marketing, I didn’t know a lot of these little tricks. Tricks like this have helped me and I also hope they help you to take advantage of an internet income opportunity.
Tax Tips for Online Businesses – An Internet Income Opportunity
So, you’ve set up an Internet business. Maybe it’s a social media site. It could be a portal to sell your goods and services. Or, it could simply be a blog about one of your hobbies or interests that’s made some cash from selling ad space. No matter the business, if you made any income you have to file or efile by April 15th. However, before you file your taxes you should be aware of some tax advantages and challenges that are unique to owning an online business.
To begin with, the IRS has four general types of business taxes you may have to pay depending on the nature of your business. The first type is income tax. All businesses, except partnerships (who file an information return instead) must file income tax which is a pay as you go tax. The forms you need to fill out depend on how your business is organized. Typically, employees have income tax withdrawn from their pay. Estimated taxes are the regular payments you make on income, including self employment tax. Self employment tax is a social security and Medicare tax that contribute to your social security, which provide you with retirement, disability, survivor, and insurance benefits. Lastly, if you have people working for you then you have to file employment tax which includes social security and Medicare, federal income tax withholding, and federal unemployment tax.
When paying these taxes and filling the various forms, don’t forget the deductions that an online entrepreneur can make. If you work primarily from home,you can deduct things like portions of your property taxes, utility bills, as well as mortgage and rent. You can calculate these deductions by completing a Form 8829 which is available on the IRS’s website.
One more thing to consider when completing your taxes are the people you’ve hired for your company. You have to report on your taxes how much you’ve paid employees or independent contractors. With independent contractors you don’t have to pay the employment tax I mentioned above.
It probably goes without saying, but, any business owner, especially online entrepreneurs, should maintain detailed records throughout the year. Many small businesses keep an envelope, shoe box, or safe where they store their receipts and records. Not only is this unorganized but it’s easy to lose things and hard to keep track of how well your business is doing. You may want to consider investing in an accounting system or software to help maintain your books.
Some of the most successful businesses, like Google, of the past two decades have been Internet based. There is no reason you cant take advantage of an internet income opportunity or even start a business online yourself, just be sure to properly file your taxes, so you can save yourself a visit from the IRS, and make appropriate deductions so you can save some of your hard earned cash.

Off-page optimization accounts for about 80% of how well your website will get ranked. And, off-page optimization is just another way of saying that if you want to get ranked, you have to get back links to your website. A few weeks ago, I posted an article that gave some great pointers on how to find places to get those back links. If you haven’t read it, read it now. Now, that is one easy way to get back links… and here is another way. Get your website listed in authoritative directories!
I know, I know, I know… many people will tell you that this is an “old school way” to get back links and that directories just don’t work any more. And, for the most part, that’s true.
Most directories allow you to auto-submit your website into these directories and for the most part your website is included in their directories with a link to your website. And, Google’s search engine spiders don’t like this. So, when they find these kind of links to your website, they don’t give much credit to these links.
But, there are three directories that the Google spiders do give a lot of back linking credit to. So much credit, in fact, that it’s difficult to get on Google’s first page if you don’t have at least one of these directories giving you a back link.
Just a moment… I’ll give you the names of these directories in a minute. First let me tell you why the Google Spiders like these three directories.
All of the content on the websites that are submitted to these three directories are human reviewed… and the Google Bots just love that!
In fact, Google would prefer that all of the content on every website should be human reviewed. But, Google can’t do that so they are ecstatic when they find another service that is human reviewing the content for them. That’s why these three directories are loved by the Google’s search engine spiders.
Best Directories For Back Links
These three directories are:
1. Best of the Web In business since 1994, Best of the Web is one of the oldest directories. And, yes, if you want to submit your website for their approval, it will cost you a small amount of money. But, it’s not much and it only takes them two days for them to review your website.
2. DMOZ The DMOZ directory is widely known and it’s also wisely known on how difficult it is to get into. Submit your website and you’re going to wait many months to find out if they will include you in their directory. And, don’t check on the progress of your submission because you won’t hear back from them.
3. Yahoo Another very popular directory, the Yahoo directory is costly to get into… last time I checked it was $299/year. Yahoo’s directory is not as time consuming to get into as DMOZ, but it will still take months. And, once again, don’ ask for updates.
Getting your website on the first page of search engine results is the key to getting lots of free traffic. And, getting on those first results requires a lot of back linking, especially high authoritative back links that these three directory services can provide you.
So, take advantage of an internet income opportunity and grab either, one, two, or all three of these three directory services.

I’m receiving nearly 1000 comments per week on this website and I’m spending nearly 10 hours per week reading these comments and trying to decide which ones are legitimate. And, frankly, I’m finding most of them are just SPAM and I’m tired of it!
For those spammers that are reading this posting, do you know that the comments left on this website have “nofollow” tags? All the time that you are spending on making those “spammy comments” would do you no good even if I did publish them…so, you’re wasting your time! Stop it!!

It’s a shame that I had to do this, but I suspect that many of these comments were being put on this website by some type of auto-commenting software. I thought the only way to solve this problem was to temporarily remove all comments.

Facebook Likes Internet Income Opportunity

Why? Because Google has announced that they are going to start considering favorable reactions on social media sites in their Google ranking algorithms. Google knows webmasters do this, so how much weight they will give this information that they are getting from the social media is unknown at this time.
But, right now, Google is using this information and with the recent Panda update, you can almost be certain that was part of their changes that Google made to their algorithms.

| If you’ve been working on the internet for any length of time, you have probably found that creating an internet income opportunity is not as easy as many internet gurus claim it is. And, once you do start making money, you spend much more time maintaining that income stream than what those same internet guru’s told you that they spend. |

I remember when I first got into internet marketing (about 3 years ago), I bought several online courses and I was led to believe that I could quickly learn to generate a six-figure income online and only have to work 15-20 hours per week.
Well, I’m not going to tell you that all those stories were lies…it just wasn’t totally true…they were only half-truths.
You see, I am now making a decent living on the internet, but it took me almost three years to learn how to do it. OK…so maybe I’m a slow learner. I’m sure there have been others that have learned to make a decent income on the internet in less than 3 years, but I’m not one of them.

Basically, I now help local offline businesses find more customers by helping them improve their online presence. This is a booming business in today’s poor economy.
The biggest half-truth, however (getting back to my original story), was the amount of work that I was having to do on a daily basis…I was working nearly 70 hours per week to earn this income.
Business was booming, but so were my work hours! I was searching for clients, telephoning potential clients, meeting with clients, making websites, creating ads, writing articles, submitting to search engines and article directories, and on and on and on. I was doing all the work and there was too much of it…I had to do something different!
