Do you have a blog, yet? Many people start blogs as an avenue to express themselves or to share ideas with family members and friends. But, blogging can also be an internet income opportunity. And, if done properly, it can be a huge source of income.
Many products are sold on the internet through blogs. In most cases, the people selling these products don’t even own the products. They are selling other people’s or organization’s products and when they sell the product they receive a commission. This is called affiliate marketing.
Commission percentages can run anywhere from 3% to as high as 75%. You have to check with each vendor to determine what commission percentage they are willing to pay.
Finding products to sell on your blog is easy. For example, if you have a blog centered around cooking, you can go to Google search and type in “recipe cookbooks +affiliates”, hit “enter”, and Google will return to you a huge list of publishers who are looking for affiliates to sell their cookbooks. You can do this for any search term.
There are also some huge markets that deal only with products that are intended to be sold by affiliate marketers. Three of the biggest are Clickbank, Commission Junction, and PayDotCom. These are all free to join.
Google even has their own market similar to these. It’s called the Google Affiliate Network. Check it out.
If you don’t have a blog, but you would like to take advantage of an internet income opportunity, you should consider making your own blog. You can make your own blog for free. Blogger.com and Wordpress.com are two websites where you can create your own blogging website and it will cost you nothing to do it. They provide you the templates to get started, and the information and directions on how to create your own blog. Google’s search engines love these two websites.
The downside to Blogger.com and Wordpress.com is that they have a limited number of templates to choose from so you are limited on how your blog will look. They also do not allow any custom plugins so you are limited on how much your blog can do for you.
An alternate website that many affiliate marketers use is Wordpress.org. Google’s search engines love this website, also. On the plus side, you can upload your own custom templates and plugins. You can also change codes. This means that there is no limit to how your website can look and no limits to what it can do.
On the downside, you must have more technical knowledge. Also, while creating a website on Wordpress.org is free, you do have to provide your own domain name and hosting. Hosting on sites like Hostgator, Namecheap, or GoDaddy will cost between $7-$15 per month and domain names can be purchased from $3-$12 per year.
There is one last website I would like to discuss. If you are going to create a blog with the intent to make money, you need to be aware that you need to get your blog ranked on the first page of Google’s search engines in order to get much free traffic (read Boost Your Internet Income Opportunity for more info on how to get ranked). That means you will have to make two or more postings per week to your blog. This is where a blogging website called Wordpress Direct comes in handy.
Wordpress Direct is similar to Wordpress.org. They provide hundreds of templates to choose from or you can upload your own custom templates. You can choose any plugins that you want and you can change codes. But, the most unique feature that Wordpress Direct has to offer is that it has some unique, custom plugins that can generate articles and videos automatically and post them to your site. This relieves you from doing much of the work – particularly, if you don’t like to write.
Once again, the downside to Wordpress Direct is that you have to buy your own domain name and hosting. Also, Wordpress Direct has a monthly fee. But, if you are making money with your blogs, the small fee is easy to handle. 3. How much income is the website generating? Even new websites can generate a lot of income. The higher the amount of income that a website generates, the value of that website goes up. Not always, but typically a website will sell somewhere around three times the value of what its normal monthly income is.
4. Traffic is important. The lower the traffic, the lower the value. You have to have traffic to generate an internet income opportunity.

I now watch Flippa on a daily basis. I am looking for three things in particular:
1. Websites in my area of interest that have high income and are selling at unusually low prices, or
2. Websites in my area of interest that have low income, but high traffic that I think I can monetize on, or
3. Websites in my area of interest that are very low priced that I think I can drive traffic to and that I think I can create an effective money making program for.
Finding websites with high income revenues that are selling at low prices are hard to find, but they can be found. In fact, if you watched the video posted above, it shows a website with an income revenue stream of $900/month that had a current bid of $160 with only two days remaining. That could be a great buy! I, myself, have purchased two like this.
Websites that have a lot of traffic, but have a low income stream, are somewhat easier to find. A lot of people don’t know how to monetize their websites and just get tired of messing with them. A lot of work and no income. That’s a shame for them, but a goldmine for someone else.
Finding websites in my area of interest, with low traffic levels and little or no income, provide me a lot of interest. Particularly, when they have some age on them. Many people just don’t learn how to drive traffic to their websites. Getting ranked on the first page of Google and the other major search engines is the key to this. And, that’s not that hard to do depending on the keywords that you are using and the links that are pointing into your sight. Getting these links is not that hard to do when you use a tool like Traffic-Bug (for more information on this, read my article on Traffic-Bug).
