although it can lead to a 6-figure salary. It does require work, especially at first, but further on in this post I’ll show you how to get around the manual tasks.

Let’s face it, we are in a recession. We have been in it for over 2-1/2 years and I don’t expect much of an improvement for several more years.

Besides those that are unemployed, who gets hurt most in a recession? Small businesses. Small businesses are screaming for more business so that they can keep their doors open. They are desperate for more customers.

That’s where you come in. You can use your knowledge in website design, creation, and SEO to provide these businesses with additional customers that they so desperately need.

Let me provide you some data:

=>Verizon statistics report that 66% of the public rarely or never uses the Yellow Pages. The Yellow Pages have been replaced by Google. Most people search online if they need to find something.

=>Google reports that 82% of all searches on the internet are for local searches. Of those 82%, 61% become actual buyers, either online or offline.

=>Nearly 46% of small businesses don’t have a website.

Unbelievable! Nearly 46% of small businesses don’t have a website and of those that do have a website, how many of those business owners either know or use proper SEO tactics? My guess if that very few of them do. Many of them have pretty websites, but very few of them are optimized.

So, use your knowledge and become a local online marketing consultant in your local area. Yes, there may be others that know more about creating websites and SEO than you do, but, if you’re still reading this posting, I would be willing to bet that you know more about these subjects than 99% of most people. And, that makes you an expert!

If you want to make a six figure income, which would you prefer to do – sell 3,334 eBooks that provide $30 commission for each sale or get 8 small business’s paying you for your consulting work? That’s what it takes to make a $100,000 per year.

The going fee for creating a website for a small business is about $750. You can do that in 1-2 days. You can find the best keywords to use either manually or with the Market Samurai tool that I’ve previously written about (if you haven’t read it, read Traffic Is Key To An Internet Income Opportunity).

Create a website at any number of website platforms, but I would recommend WordPress Direct. What makes it special is that the themes that are used on that site are already optimized – it’ll be much easier to get on Page 1 of Google.

Now, once you’ve created a website for the small business, offer them a contract for your SEO expertise. Let them know that unless they already know how to get their website ranked on Page 1, that you can do it for them. That fee normally runs about $1000 per month.

Look, most businesses are already advertising and spending money on the Yellow Pages. Point out to them that these forms of advertising are dinosaurs and are now pretty much a waste of money.

You’ll be surprised at how many of them will agree with you on that point. Now, just convince them that you can get their website ranked on Page 1 and your income opportunity home based business will be off and running.

TIP#1: One of the things I do to locate potential customers is that I search the newspapers to see who is advertising and who has a website. If they don’t have a website, they’re an ideal potential client.

Pretty simple website, right? It promotes one product (Gable attic fans), and has Google Adsense on it.

Well, this website was created less than 12 weeks ago, receives only 234 unique visitors per month, and has no backlinks pointing to it. No social bookmarking has been done with it. No directory submissions. Nothing! What’s amazing about this is this – This Website Sold At Auction Almost 4 Weeks Ago For $620 In Less Than 2 Days!!

Now, take a look at this website. It has almost no traffic or income, but it sold for $2200 – WebHostingReview.org  

And, now this one. No sales, but it does have some traffic – Belly Fat Site Sold for $1500  

What I’m trying to point out is that you can beat your head against the wall and keep trying to sell products through affiliate marketing or you can start making sizable chunks of money by making, selling, and reselling of websites.

This is called “flipping websites”. These examples that I’ve shown you shows that there is a huge market for existing websites – even websites that are new, have little traffic, and almost no income.  

So, you don’t have to build a website that will make you $10,000 per day. All you have to do is get a website rolling and then cash it in for some big money.

There are two avenues you can take down this road. One is to research and buy an existing website and resell it, or, two is to start a mini-niche site, promote it, and sell it to the highest bidder. Let’s look at the first avenue to begin with – buying an existing website and reselling it.

The best auction house that I’ve found for websites is Flippa. Go there and take a look around. It costs nothing to join.

Watch these auctions on a regular basis and after 1-2 weeks, you’ll have a pretty good feel for what a website should sell for.

What I like to look for are websites that have been in existence for 2 or more years and either, 1) Have traffic, but are poorly monetized, or 2) Sales, but little traffic. When I can buy these type of websites at auction for a low price, I know I’ll have money in my bank in the near future.

For the poorly monetized sites that have traffic, I’ll add new affiliate products, Google Adsense, and Text Link Ads. As soon as the website starts to make more money, I resale it at auction and put chunks of cash back into my bank.

For the sites that have sales, but little traffic, I go on a linking campaign. I write articles and submit them to Web 2.0 sites such as Squidoo and Ezinearticles, linking them back to the main website. I do press releases, directory submissions, social profile links, forum submissions, and leave remarks on dofollow blogs.

Links are the key to Google rankings and as the ranking to my website increases, the traffic to the website increases and so does the income. Ka-Ching! I sell the website at auction for big profits! (One thing that I do want to point out is that I don’t do all this work myself. I outsource a lot of this work to some very professional people at a very low cost. Now, let’s talk about the second avenue you can take – making your own mini-niche websites, promoting them, and selling them at auction.

Here’s how to do that:

1. Build your mini-niche site using highly focused keywords. For example, in the example of the website that sold above, Gable Attic Fan, the words “Gable Attic Fan” are one of the few keywords. This keyword is used in the domain name and URL. Google will give this website extra credits for doing that. Keep the website small – not over 5-8 pages.

IMPORTANT – Keyword research is the most important step to building an income opportunity home based business. You’ve found the “Goose that laid the Golden Egg” when you find a hungry, starving crowd that wants to buy and you find the keywords to dominate that market. I use the best tool on the market to do this with – it’s called Market Samurai. I build my sites similar to what is taught in the Google Sniper method, only I sell them shortly after I build them.

2. Write articles and submit them to Squidoo, EzineArticles, and Hubpages with links back to your mini-niche website. Google loves these three sites and not only will it help your rankings, but it’ll also drive extra traffic.

Also, submit ads to USFreeAds and link them back to your mini-niche website. For more information on this, read my article Is Bum Marketing A Legitimate Business Opportunity?

3. Create links back to your mini-niche website. Social bookmark the articles you submitted above to places like Digg.com and Reddit.com. I use an automatic service to do this with and it’s called Traffic Bug. This tool will also do directory and RSS submissions for you.

Ping the search engines with the RSS of each of your social bookmarks at Pingomatic.com.

Other great ways to make links to your mini-niche site is to visit other blogs and leave comments with a link back to your site. Do press releases, social profile links, and visit related forums – leave links to your site at all of these.

IMPORTANT – Be sure that you use your keywords in the actual link that you leave at each of these sites so that the search engines will give your keyword the credit for that link!

4. Monetize, monetize, monetize – and here are some ways to do that:

=> Clickbank, PayDotCom, Commission Junction – These are the three best known affiliate marketplaces. Commissions on many products are as high as 75% and that’s good extra income.

=> Google Adsense – Google’s own advertising network. Get paid to run ads on your website. Easy to install and visitors expect to see these ads.

=> 7Search and Adbrite – Alternatives for Google Adsense. These are reputable companies.

=>TextLinkAds – In addition to Google Adsense, 7Search, and Adbrite, you can place additional text link ads on your website. TextLinkAds is the best known, but they are sometimes picky. TextLinkBrokers is an alternative.

=> CPA Networks – There are a lot of these. CPA stands for “cost per action”. That means that your website will earn a commission when the visitor performs a certain action. It may be that they have to supply their email address, a zip code, or a number of other things.

To find one of these related to your website, go to Google search and type in “YourNiche +cpa network”. You’ll find several to choose from.

Use one or all of monetization methods. If one doesn’t work, swap it out for another.

Remember, on these mini-niche websites, your website only needs to start generating only a few dollars per month before you can sell it. You want to turn these over as quickly as possible and put big bucks in the bank.

Then, start another one and keep flipping. Within a short period of time, you’ll learn that you can make and flip websites very quickly. You’ll be working on several of them all at the same time. It’ll become routine. Flipping websites will become your income opportunity home based business.

Not only the quantity of links, but also the quality of those links. Getting a backlink from a site that has a Google Page Rank of 7 is worth more than a hundred backlinks from sites that have a Page Rank of 0 or 1.

One of the biggest mistakes that I see time and again are backlinks that I see being made from “nofollow” sites. Leaving a backlink to your site from a “nofollow” site will not do anything to increase your Google Page Rank. Nothing!

Maybe a lot of people don’t know it, but all links are labeled either “nofollow” or “dofollow”. Most blogs and most websites are set up to use the “nofollow” tag. When Google’s spiders see this, they don’t record these at links to the other site. Leaving backlinks at “nofollow” sites are a waste of time.

One more problem I see a lot of people make are the anchor texts that they leave. They always leave the same anchor text and it’s almost always to their main home page. Search engines don’t like this.

In case you don’t know what “anchor text” means, it’s the written verbiage that your link is created from. When someone clicks on this anchor text, it takes them to the linking page.

Search engines are looking for “natural links”. Links that in their robotic minds that would occur naturally. Links that always use the same anchor text and always go to the same page are not natural and the search engines will penalize these sites.

Remember this. To get on page 1 for your niche’s keywords, you’ll either need more links than your competition or links of higher value. Analyze the links that your competitors on page 1 are using. Find out how many links they have and the Page Rank of those links.

Do this and you’ll have a solid game plan for building links to your own site and moving your income opportunity home based business up to page 1.

You’re probably now wondering how to analyze your competitor links on page 1. The tool that I use, and it’s the best on the market, is called Market Samurai.

Market Samurai will identify your competitors top 10 sites for each of your niche keywords. For each of those sites, it will show you how many links each of them has, it will identify where all of those links come from, what the Page Rank is for each of those links, and what anchor text they used to create those links. I hope this article will be of help to those Affiliates that have seen this type of failure rate. After all, we would all like to have more personal time, but it’s difficult to get that time with such a high rate of failure. But, after reading this article, you should be able to turn those numbers around and have 9 out of 10 of your marketing efforts be successful.

The traditional approach to Affiliate Marketing is to:

1. Do keyword research and find what looks to be a good market or niche.
2. Find the best product to offer in that niche.
3. Find a good source of traffic – paid and/or unpaid.
4. Create a couple of ads and hope for the best.

Most of these ads fail. Or, you re-optimize the ad and they fail again. There is only a 10% success rate.

Many Affiliates source their products from Clickbank, Commission Junction, and PayDotCom. There’s nothing wrong with that – these are the largest affiliate networks. But, there is another network where the biggest Affiliates make most of their money. That network is the CPA network.

The CPA network is where the majority of the money is spent by publishers on internet marketing. They will sometimes pay $30-$40 per lead and the list of products offered is endless – car insurance, health products, food, funeral urns, clothing – anything and everything.

The CPA networks are where the big money is made and despite what many Affiliates say, they are not hard to get into. Sometimes you have to pick up the telephone and call them, but that’s not difficult to do. Some of the bigger companies in the CPA network include: Clickbooth, Azoogle, Neverblue, COPEAC, and Eagle Web Assets. Contact them and start promoting their products.

Now, here is the game-changer for learning how to make 9 out of 10 of your marketing efforts a success instead of a failure.Remember these words, “Simply follow where the money is being made online”.

That’s it! I know, I know, I know – we’ve all been told to “simply go and find an untouched niche”. Well, that’s why 9 out of 10 of your marketing efforts fail – finding an untouched niche that is profitable is just not that easy! And, if money is being found in this niche over here, why not jump on it?

What I’m talking about here is cloning. Cloning profitable niches and ads to make your income opportunity home based business successful.

Forget all the time you could spend looking for an untouched niche. Forget all the time you spend looking for a profitable product to sell. Forget all the time and effort you spend on designing a profitable landing page and ad. Find an ad and product that is already profitable and clone it.

One way that you can tell if an ad is profitable is by following it. As you travel around to various websites such as Yahoo, USA Today, MSN, or countless others, take out your notebook and copy the ads. If these same ads keep appearing day-after-day and week-after-week, the ad must be successful or the advertiser couldn’t afford to keep running it.

Another way to see how long an ad has been running is to enter the URL into Compete.com (Free Signup). If the ad is a unique URL and not a direct link, you can find out how long it has been used as an advertisement and a host of other useful information. You can also use this website to analyze keywords that are used and find out where the majority of their traffic comes from.

You can find the source of the product being offered by entering a search term in the search box at Offervault.com (Free Signup). This website will also tell how much commission is being offered for the product. You can then contact the network that’s got the product and get the rights to sell the product yourself.

To find out information on demographics, enter the URL in the search box at Quantcast.com (Free Signup). From this website you can get an estimate of monthly traffic, if the visitors are mostly male or female, their age group, race, income, and level of education.

One last source for finding free information to help you decide if you want to clone an ad is at Google.com/adplanner. It provides similar information compared to the other sites pointed out above, but some of the numbers may be slightly different. All of the numbers on all of these sites are estimates, so take an average.

Now that you have all of this information, you can make an informed decision on rather-or-not the ad is profitable. You also know what kind of commission is being paid, who is offering it, you have an estimate on the number of visitors per day, and you know where the product is being advertised at. Everything you need to make a profitable clone.

Please understand that I’m not suggesting that you exactly copy these successful ads. Make minor changes to them so that they are very similar, with only slight differences.

Do you realize how much of a difference this will make in your marketing efforts? Do you realize how much more profitable you will be? Nine out of 10 of your ads will be profitable if you follow this strategy and implement it correctly.

Not to mention time. You will save a lot of time. Yes, you’ll now spend some time searching for successful ads, but look at the time you will save on keyword research and looking for profitable products. You’ll just be exchanging the time you spent searching for profitable products to searching for profitable ads. And, make a whole lot more money.

Remember, “Simply follow where the money is being made online”.

The strategy I showed you above can be done manually as I’ve already shown you. It has, however, been automated into a system called the Google Cash Detective. I do use that program and it’s super sweet to use. If there’s one drawback to it, it’s that your limited to information on ads that are placed only on Google Adwords. I say “only on Google Adwords”, and you know how huge of a market that is. The manual system I showed you above takes more time but will work on any marketplace.

So, change your marketing odds around. Start winning on 9 out of 10 adds instead of losing on them. Save time and effort. Spend more time with your family. Use these cloning strategies in your income opportunity home based business.

One new website or blog is created every 1/2 second. Nearly 99% of these websites will never get much traffic, usually because they have chosen the wrong keywords (read Traffic Is Key To An Internet Income Opportunity). But, with over 170,000 new websites and blogs created every day, if only 1% of these do have the ability get much traffic that means 1,700 new, valuable websites are on the internet each and every day.

Now, many of these good websites will never deliver a cent of profit to their owners. Why? Well, many of them were created for reasons other than profit and many of them will never be monetized properly. Learning to monetize a website is a skill that many web owners just don’t have. Owners of many of these potentially good websites, will eventually get tired of working on their “gold mines” and either give up on them or sell them. Those up for sale are what you need to be looking for.

You are probably asking two questions right now:

1. Where do I look for these potentially, good websites that are for sale?
   
2. How do I recognize a potentially, good website from a poor one?

I believe Flippa is the best place to look for websites for sale. Go there and check it out. You can join for free (I don’t receive any commissions from Flippa). Flippa provides an abundant amount of information on websites that are up for sale. Another marketplace to look at is the Sitepoint Marketplace.

To recognize potentially, good websites for my income opportunity home based business I look at several things:

1. Profit – Does the website make a profit? If so, how much and for how long? Do they have written records of this sales activity? What niche or market are they in?

I review the monetization methods that they have been using. Can I improve upon it? If the website is already making some money and if I believe I can improve its money making potential, the website has my interest.

2. Traffic – Traffic is the most important things that I look for. Each unique visitor is worth some amount of money. If the site already has a sizable amount of traffic, that’s good! If not, why not? Is it the niche or the website. If it’s the niche, my interest goes way down. If it’s the website, what is wrong with it? How many back links does the site have? What keywords are being used?

This is where I use one of my tools that I have. That tool is called Market Samurai. I can use this tool to determine if the keywords being used are appropriate or if they need changing. I can also use this tool to determine how competitive the internet market is for the keywords being used.

In the end, when I am reviewing a potential website that’s for sale, I either want it to already have a lot of traffic while generating little or no income (not monetized properly). Or, have low levels of traffic, in a good niche, sound keywords, and huge potential.

I decide how much I am willing to pay and I bid on the website. Up front, I decide what is the maximum amount I am willing to pay and I don’t go over that amount.

After I have purchased the website, I lay out plans for improving the website’s performance. Sometimes, I only have to monetize the website. Sometimes, I only have to increase traffic. But, I usually work on both monetization and traffic.

After I have my plans developed, I outsource the labor at oDesk (read Outsourcing Help For Your Network Marketing Internet Business).This is really the simple way to do it and it’s inexpensive to do. I get an email every day from my outsourced laborers on what progress they’ve made. I stay focused on developing other ways to make more money.

At some point in the future, usually 3-9 months, the performance on the websites that I have purchased has increased so much that I can sell them for huge profits. I use those profits to buy more websites. So, you see, flipping websites can be an income opportunity home based business.

There are not many schools that are teaching the public on how to make a full time income off the internet. In fact, I cannot name one school that is. And, if you don’t know someone who will teach you, you will have to learn by yourself. That’s what I did. I didn’t know anybody who would teach me so I taught myself on how to create an internet income opportunity.

I started learning how to build an income opportunity home based business almost 18 months ago. I read a lot of books about it and I studied a lot of things that I found on the internet. I have now spent over 3000 hours learning how to create a legitmate business opportunity.

It took me 7 months before I made my first sale. But, with that first sale I could see that it could be done. I continued to learn and I continued to practice what I had learned. Now, I earn almost $200/day – 7 days per week. I’ve come a long ways from where I started.

If you are new to internet or affiliate marketing, and you don’t know anyone that will teach you, please allow me to provide some of my advice to help you.

The first thing that I would do if I were in your shoes, before you invest in anything, is to join a free educational program called the Thirty Day Challenge. This thirty-one day course was made for beginners. It teaches you from the ground-up. It’s mostly video training and it is well put together. The program does not try to sell you anything – it’s purely educational. By the end of the program, you will have a good idea on what internet marketing is about and can decide if you want to continue in the business. The ThirtyDayChallenge.com does not teach you everything, but, it’s a good start.

Next, join a forum that I found on the internet called the Work At Home Forum. Once again, it is free to join. It provides some great discussions on problems, ideas, and issues that others are having. The members of this forum are all trying to make a living on the internet by working from home. You can find answers to many of the questions that you might have and if you can’t find that answer, post your question in the forum for others to answer. There are some brilliant members in this forum and they are happy to provide support.

Now, if you have completed the Thirty Day Challenge and if you are still interested in this business, you have to increase your overall knowledge in this business to be successful. You could do this like I did when I started out, by studying books and hundreds of articles on the internet. I spent months doing that – months that I believe I mostly wasted. I now believe that the better way of doing it is, and it does take a small investment, invest in one of either two home stuy courses designed for learning affiliate marketing. Invest in either the Profit Lance course (read my article on Profit Lance) or the Wealthy Affiliate course (read my article on the Wealthy Affiliate). Both courses are great. In fact, I am a member of both of these courses (and, yes, if you purchased these courses using my links I would earn a commission. But, isn’t that what we are all trying to do?).
