Facebook Likes Internet Income Opportunity
| If you have visited this website before, then you probably noticed something new near the top of this post. Do you see it? Yes, I’ve added a Facebook Likes button at the top of every posting on Internet Income Opportunity. And, if you don’t have one on your website, you need to add it. | ![]() |
Why? Because Google has announced that they are going to start considering favorable reactions on social media sites in their Google ranking algorithms. To what degree is not known, but the fact that they have said that this type of information is important is reason enough for you to consider adding a Facebook Likes button to your website.
Matt Cutt’s is head of anti-spam at Google’s headquarters. Watch this video as he explains some reasoning behind all of this:
I’ve not only added a Facebook Likes button to the top of this post, but if you look down, I’ve also added one at the bottom of this post. I figured if I didn’t catch them on one side of the page, I’d catch them on the other side.
In the near future, I’m going to also add a Twitter, Digg, and Google Plus One button. The Google Plus One button is really new and I’m still researching that one (I’ll explain more about this in a posting in the near future).
Rankings are important for taking advantage of an internet income opportunity. If you want to add a Facebook Likes button to your website and if you’re really not sure how to do it, watch this short Youtube video to learn how:
If you think about it, all of this makes sense on Google’s part. Google is always looking for the best information to provide visitors to their search engine. So, adding the power of the information that can get from social media sites just increases their likelihood of finding that best information.
The only problem with this type of information is that webmasters are always looking for ways to manipulate this information so that they can get their own websites to rank higher. Google knows webmasters do this, so how much weight they will give this information that they are getting from the social media is unknown at this time.
But, right now, Google is using this information and with the recent Panda update, you can almost be certain that was part of their changes that Google made to their algorithms.
So, if you want your website to rank higher, add a Facebook Likes button.
Oh, by the way, if you found this information helpful, please click the Facebook Likes button at the top or bottom of this post. Or, on any post within this Internet Income Opportunity website.
Relevancy Is Key For Building Home Work Business Opportunities
| Many of the visitors to this post are using the internet to build home work business opportunities and I wanted to take a couple of minutes to help these visitors improve their business.
You see, I’ve heard something over-and-over again, and what I’ve heard is just not true any more. Things are always changing on the internet… and this is one of those things that has changed. |
|
As most of the visitors to this post know, link building is vitally important for increasing your website rankings. Back linking is the heart of off-page optimization. But, how many times have you been told that “a link is a link no matter where it comes from”?
I know that you’ve been told that before…because I’ve been told that before…many times. But, listen to me now…this is not true any more!
Two-to-three years ago, that statement was pretty much true. Any type of link could help your rankings in the search engines. But, the search engine “spiders” are much more intelligent today, and unless those links pointing at your website are relevant, these off-beat type of links could be hurting your rankings.
What do I mean by relevant?
In short, I mean that the website that places a link to your site should be related to your website…it should complement it and not be unrelated.
Take this example. Let’s say that you have a website that is selling red widgets. Well, it would make good sense if another website that is selling red widget accessories links to your site. Or, if your site is promoting a weight loss program, it would make sense if a site that sells vitamins links to your website. But, it would make no sense if a porn site or gambling website were to link to you.
Search engine spiders have matured and now know this. In fact, when they find these type of unrelated links, they are likely to do one of the following three things:
1. Ignore the link…and, not count it at all…you’ve wasted your time.
2. Google might consider your “theme” to be related to the “theme” that is linking to you. So, if a porn site links to you, your rankings in the porn site’s “theme” may go up and your rankings for what you’re really trying to rank for may go down. You don’t want this!
3. Google may consider that you’re just trying to “pull a fast one” over the search engines, and Google may black-list your website. Oouch! If this happens, you’ll never get any rankings.
So, here’s what you need to keep in mind: When running your link building campaigns, keep your visitors in mind. What kind of visitors do you want coming to your site? Do you want visitors to porn sites coming to your website? If not, keep your link building activities away from these types of sites.
Now, How Do You Find Good Sites Related To Your Own Theme?
Here are several easy ways:
1. Do a search in the major search engines using your niche keywords as the search term. Look at the websites that the search engines return and copy the URL’s into a spread sheet. Rinse and repeat.
2. Visit link directories, such as DMOZ, and search for your niche in their listings. All link directories are broken down into categories…just look for your own category.
3. Go to Yahoo’s search engine and type in the following : LinkDomain:http//www.YourCompetitorsWesite.com. Yahoo will return you a list of links that are directed at your competitors website. Look for related links and see if you can also get a back link from them.
Back linking is a time consuming process and now that it’s even more important to find relevant back links for building your home work business opportunities, it now takes even longer to do it. Let’s say that you want to build 50 back links and it takes you 10 minutes to find and build a relevant link…it will take you over 8 hours of manual work to do it.
Well, this brings me down to the last thing I wanted to mention in this posting. There is an easier way to do it.
LINKASSISTANT is a FREE TOOL that you can download to help you with this link building process. After downloading it, point to TOOLS…-> Find new link partners…and take a look at the different options you have. Among them are:
1. Find relevant sites to your own niche keywords by doing a keyword search. Quickly, it will return hundreds of sites.
2. Using LINKASSISTANT you can scan a complete website and find all the links pointing to it. You can also do this by page or category.
3. Best of all: Some sites provide you with a link submission form where you fill out a form with your website’s URL and where you have provided a link to them, and they in return will link to you. With LINKASSISTANT, you can automatically find these linking forms in sites related to your niche. How cool is that?
If you don’t want this FREE TOOL, go ahead and continue doing back linking manually…it’s the worst part about building websites and taking advantage of home work business opportunities. But, I know if you would only try it, you would really like it!
