| There is a trick that almost every network marketing internet business uses and I wanted to share that trick with you. It’s not really a secret, but it’s not something they really want to talk about, either. |

For the first couple of years that I was in the internet marketing business, whenever I wanted to start a new website I would do my keyword research and buy a new domain name that was keyword rich.
Next, I would launch an extensive campaign to build back links to my new website. I would spend weeks doing this. Building links is not fun and it takes a lot of man-hours to do it.
Link building is one of the major keys to getting ranked on any of the major search engines such as Google. The problem is, however, that Google (and the other major search engines) just don’t trust new websites. There are too many websites created on a daily basis that end up as “dead” websites after a few weeks or even months.
Sure, I would sometimes get a new website page ranked high on Google, sometimes even on page1. But, a few days later that page would be gone from Google’s front page. Sometimes it took months to get that page back on Google’s page 1. That’s when I realized that there is a trick to this and it’s a trick that almost every network marketing internet business uses.
Buy Aged Domain Names
Find domain names in your niche that already exist and buy them to use for your new website. There are thousands of domain names that are already up for sale or are on websites that just aren’t used any more. Look for domain names in your niche that have these three characteristics:
- Has been on the market three years or longer. The longer the better.
- Preferably has an existing Page Rank of 2 or higher.
- Appears to be a “dead” website or already up for sale.
If you can find one of these aged domains in your niche and if you can buy it, you have bought Google’s trust!
How To Find Domains That Are For Sale
The easiest way to find an aged domain name in your niche that you can buy is to ask Google to look for it. Simply go to Google Search and enter in one of the following search queries:
inurl:keyword “domain if for sale”
inurl:keyword “domain name if for sale”
inurl:keyword “website is for sale”
inurl:keyword “buy this domain name”
inurl:keyword “buy this domain”
*In the above, replace keyword with your own keywords.
Typing in the above search queries will give you a bunch of available domain names that are for sale in your niche.
The next thing you want to do is use SEO Quake to analyze their Page Rank and domain age (if you have not used the FREE SEO Quake software before, visit my post Internet Income Opportunity and High Page Rank Links to get it and to learn how to use it).
You can find the domain age on the “whois” button on the SEO Quake toolbar. This button will also provide you information so that you can contact the website’s owners.
Once you’ve found an aged domain name that will fit your needs, all you have to do is contact the owner’s and find out how much they will sell it for. Don’t offer them a price – make them give you a price. I usually offer them less then 45% of their asking price.
The next time you get ready to start a new website or blog, give this marketing trick a try. Remember, Google does not trust new domain names, but you can buy that trust with aged domain names that Google already trusts. That’s why network marketing internet business owners are doing it.
Build Your Internet Income Opportunity With High Page Rank Links
Linking is not much fun, but it’s something you have to do to build an internet income opportunity from free traffic. After all, Google and all of the major search engines won’t put you on page 1 unless you have a significant number of links pointing to your website. But, there is a way to reduce the quantity needed.
Google gives all websites a Page Rank value. That value ranges from 0-10 with zero being the lowest value and ten being the highest. Most websites have a “0″ value and getting back links from these sites does help, but you’ll need hundreds or even thousands of these to get ranked on the first page of Google.
You are much better off if you can get links to your website from websites that are ranked “2″ or higher by Google. Google gives a lot more credit to these type of links. You’ll need much fewer links to get ranked on page 1. So, how do you find websites that you can build links from that have these higher ranks? I’ll show you.
First, download and install this FREE Fire Fox software —>SEO QUAKE<—.
Once you have successfully downloaded this software, go to Google’s search box and look for forums related to the keywords that you use on your website. You can do this by entering “YourKeyword Forums” in the search box.
If you don’t find any forums by using your keywords, change your Google search by using another word that is related to your keyword or website. The important thing is to find forums that are related to your website. There are thousands of forums out there and you’ll find several, I’m sure.
Select the url of one of these forums and copy it. You’ll next be analyzing the highest ranking posts on this selected forum. Now, go to Google’s “Advanced Search” tab and click on it:
Now, however, is when our good friend SEO Quake comes in handy. If you haven’t already done it, click on the button on the bottom-right of your screen and turn SEO Quake on. Be sure to click your Refresh button, also.
You should now see results similar to the picture further below. Notice that I have highlighted two spots. If you click the down arrow at the top, Google will rearrange these pages from the highest ranking pages to the lowest. Note, in the second highlight, that the first page listed has a Page Rank of 2. These are the types of pages that you want to leave comments on and link back to your website.
It’s important that you make good comments on these pages or they are likely to be deleted. Most comments are reviewed by website owners and if they appear to be spam, they’re likely to be removed. If you can’t think of a good comment to leave, do a Google search and find something so that you can make a constructive comment.
Your likely to find that most pages you check have a Google Page Rank of either “0″ or “n/a”. These are the types of pages that most people use to make their back links from. That’s one reason why most websites never make it to page 1 of Google. It takes hundreds or even thousands of them to make even a small difference – not likely to help your internet income opportunity.

This technique works and it might take you some time to master it. Just remember, you’ll need many fewer links to get your internet income opportunity ranked high on the major search engines.

A Legitimate Business Opportunity Depends Upon List Building
Building a list of potential buyers is vital to any legitimate business opportunity that’s being done online. Last week, I wrote an article titled “Build Repeat Customers To Your Internet Income Opportunity” where I explained the importance of list building and I suggested a couple of email marketing sites that could be used to build and manage these lists. Today, I wanted to discuss a method to help you to grow your list so that you have hundreds of potential customers on that list.
Many websites will add an opt-in box to their home page and will either ask people to sign up to get future information when available or to get a weekly/monthly newsletter. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? Well, of course not and that’s why these types of opt-in boxes don’t work! Very few visitors will ever sign up in this type of opt-in box. But, I’m surprised at how many times I see this.
The best opt-in boxes should offer something that is critical or compelling to your visitors. Or, it should be something that stirs their curiosity. For example, if someone had a website related to cooking, a good opt-in box might say, “Get my 5 Secret Gourmet Recipes for preparing Steak Tartare. Please enter your Name and Email Address”.
Visitors to your site will always be reluctant to leave their email address. This makes them feel vulnerable. But, if you can offer them something whereby they feel like they are making a gain, they are much more likely to do it.
At this point, you might be thinking, “Well, I don’t have anything free to give them, what do I do next?” Of course, you could make something such as a free report or article. Or, find it on the internet.
There are globs of free articles and PDF’s on the internet that are available for you to use to help you build a legitimate business opportunity – just check the copy write issues. You can find many of these by using Google Search. For example, if I go to Google Search and type in “steak tartare +free PDF”, the first listing returned to me is Steak Tartare.pdf (1 KB) – Free Ebook Download. It’s that simple.
Once you have made or found something of value, there are a couple of other things that you need to do to your opt-in box:
1. Change the “Subscribe” button to say “Free Ebook” or something along those lines, and
2. Put a message under the button that says something like, “Don’t worry, we hate SPAM, too! We’ll never share your address with anyone!” This will relax your visitors.

Building repeat customers to your internet income opportunity is a key factor to successful internet marketing. The easiest and best way of doing that is with email marketing.
Email marketing is a form of direct marketing whereby you build a list of email addresses of either customers that have already opted in your products/services or have expressed a desire to learn more about your products/services. Having these email addresses allows you to stay in touch with these customers.
There are a number of advantages for communicating with these customers. Effective communication allows you to create a positive relationship with them and helps you to build loyalty to your products and services. This also allows you to distribute information about your products and services at a very low cost. These email marketing advantages allow you to make additional sales to repeat customer and to turn potential customers into actual customers.
If you have a website and are trying to market a product or service and you have not started an email marketing program, I would encourage you to start one as soon as you can. The method to collect email addresses on your website if easy. All you need are two things. The first thing is an opt-in form on your website for collecting the visitor’s email address. And, secondly, the services of an autoresponder for collecting and storing these email addresses.
An autoresponder is a computer program that automatically collects email addresses that are sent to it and they can also be programmed to automatically respond to it. The opt-in form that was discussed in the paragraph above is normally provided by the autoresponder.
There are many companies on the internet that provide this autoresponder service. The oldest and largest of these companies is called Aweber. Aweber provides you an opt-in form and you can even customize it. With Aweber, you can create newsletters and personalized emails that can be sent to your list of potential customers. They have a huge analytic program that will provide you a list of reports that will help you analyze your email marketing program. Their help and support staff is professional and responds quickly. Aweber is certainly an excellent email marketing company, but for many websites, especially those that have not tried email marketing before, I would recommend Mad Mimi.
Mad Mimi has a lot of tricks up her sleeve and she is powerful. This autoresponder is super easy to use with the use of a module based, WYSIWYG message aditor/composer. You can learn to use this tool in minutes. With Mad Mimi, you can create attractive, custom based newsletters and emails complete with pictures, photos, links, and distinctive background colors. Mad Mimi won the Top 10 Reviews Award for 2009.
Mad Mimi has an outstanding support staff. You can email them 24 hours per day and I’ve found them to respond within minutes. I recently wanted to customize one of my opt-in forms and I wasn’t exactly sure how to do it. I emailed my questions and problems to their support staff and I had my customized opt-in form completed within 15 minutes.

The main reason I recommend Mad Mimi for those that have not tried email marketing before or for those that are new at it is the cost. Now, paying Aweber $19 per month is no huge amount of money. But, it may take some time to build 100 subscribers to your website and the beauty of Mad Mimi is that it doesn’t cost you anything to do that. Once you have a list of subscribers, you can continue to do business with Mad Mimi or move your list to Aweber. Both of these are superb autoresponders.
Building subscribers quickly to your website is an art and I’ll discuss this in some articles in the near future. The main point of this article is to convince you that if you have not done so already, you need to build this list of subscribers to compound future earnings and growth to your internet income opportunity. And, you can do this for very little or no cost.
Flipping Can Be An Income Opportunity Home Based Business
Flipping is a term used in the internet marketing world. It is the act of buying and selling websites for a profit. Flipping can be an income opportunity home based business that requires only 1-2 hours of work per day. It has huge profit potential. Let me explain.
One new website or blog is created every 1/2 second. Nearly 99% of these websites will never get much traffic, usually because they have chosen the wrong keywords (read Traffic Is Key To An Internet Income Opportunity). But, with over 170,000 new websites and blogs created every day, if only 1% of these do have the ability get much traffic that means 1,700 new, valuable websites are on the internet each and every day.
Now, many of these good websites will never deliver a cent of profit to their owners. Why? Well, many of them were created for reasons other than profit and many of them will never be monetized properly. Learning to monetize a website is a skill that many web owners just don’t have. Owners of many of these potentially good websites, will eventually get tired of working on their “gold mines” and either give up on them or sell them. Those up for sale are what you need to be looking for.
You are probably asking two questions right now:
- Where do I look for these potentially, good websites that are for sale?
- How do I recognize a potentially, good website from a poor one?
I believe Flippa is the best place to look for websites for sale. Go there and check it out. You can join for free (I don’t receive any commissions from Flippa). Flippa provides an abundant amount of information on websites that are up for sale. Another marketplace to look at is the Sitepoint Marketplace.
To recognize potentially, good websites for my income opportunity home based business I look at several things:
1. Profit – Does the website make a profit? If so, how much and for how long? Do they have written records of this sales activity? What niche or market are they in?
I review the monetization methods that they have been using. Can I improve upon it? If the website is already making some money and if I believe I can improve its money making potential, the website has my interest.
2. Traffic – Traffic is the most important things that I look for. Each unique visitor is worth some amount of money. If the site already has a sizable amount of traffic, that’s good! If not, why not? Is it the niche or the website. If it’s the niche, my interest goes way down. If it’s the website, what is wrong with it? How many back links does the site have? What keywords are being used?
This is where I use one of my tools that I have. That tool is called Market Samurai. I can use this tool to determine if the keywords being used are appropriate or if they need changing. I can also use this tool to determine how competitive the internet market is for the keywords being used.
In the end, when I am reviewing a potential website that’s for sale, I either want it to already have a lot of traffic while generating little or no income (not monetized properly). Or, have low levels of traffic, in a good niche, sound keywords, and huge potential.
I decide how much I am willing to pay and I bid on the website. Up front, I decide what is the maximum amount I am willing to pay and I don’t go over that amount.
After I have purchased the website, I lay out plans for improving the website’s performance. Sometimes, I only have to monetize the website. Sometimes, I only have to increase traffic. But, I usually work on both monetization and traffic.
After I have my plans developed, I outsource the labor at oDesk (read Outsourcing Help For Your Network Marketing Internet Business).This is really the simple way to do it and it’s inexpensive to do. I get an email every day from my outsourced laborers on what progress they’ve made. I stay focused on developing other ways to make more money.
At some point in the future, usually 3-9 months, the performance on the websites that I have purchased has increased so much that I can sell them for huge profits. I use those profits to buy more websites. So, you see, flipping websites can be an income opportunity home based business.
Traffic Is Key To An Internet Income Opportunity
You cannot take advantage of any internet income opportunity unless you have traffic going to your site. And, I mean loads of traffic! At best, most internet marketers can expect a 1-3% conversion rate. So, that means for every 100 visitors to your website, you can expect only 1 to 3 sales.
How do you get traffic to your website? Well, one way is to pay for it. You can advertise your website on the search engines and drive traffic to your site. If you have tried this, you know how expensive this can be. Even after you have made a sale, you have probably lost money. Or, you can get free traffic to your website.
Getting free traffic to your website is what nearly every internet marketer wants. But, nearly 99% of those that try fail to get sufficient traffic to their website. They waste hours-upon-hours of time creating their websites and writing articles only to see that they are getting 15-20 visitors per day. They have wasted their time.
Why do 99% of those that try, fail? Because they have broken at least one of the three Golden Rules of internet marketing. These 3 Golden Rules are:
- Target ONLY keywords that can drive significant traffic to your website.
- Target ONLY keywords that have significant profit potential.
- Target ONLY keywords that have acceptable levels of competition.
That’s it! These three Golden Rules are the key to success for any website. Break any one of these and your website WILL FAIL!
What’s most important about these 3 Golden Rules is that these keywords have to be determined and selected before you even begin making your website. Don’t waste time on trying to take advantage of an internet income opportunity unless you have the right keywords selected.
Finding the right keywords that fit the Golden Rules criteria is not easy, particularly if your not an internet guru. But, there is a “darn good” tool on the market that can help you do it. It’s called Market Samurai.

Outsourcing Help For Your Network Marketing Internet Business
When you are building a network marketing internet business, there is a LARGE amount of work that you have to do. Besides all the article writing that you have to do, there are a ton of things that you have to do to get your network ranked. Don’t do all this work yourself.
You are the brainchild of your marketing business and your time is more valuable if it is used in strategy development. For many tasks, such as article writing and link building, outsource these tasks out to someone else. You’ll build your income stream much faster than if you try to do all these thing by yourself.
There are many professional writers and computer geeks all over the world. There are places where you can hire this type of help for as little as $2.50/hour. And, if you are doing the type of work that you could hire someone else to do it for $2.50, than what YOU are actually earning is $2.50/hour. Aren’t you worth more than this?
How can you find great help at a low cost? Well, in the past I have used Elance and Rent-A-Coder to get some of my tasks done. But, the one I like best and use the most is called oDesk . With oDesk, you can interview and hire freelance contractors from around the world. It’s efficient and easy to use, almost as if they were in the office next door. Signing up at oDesk is free. – you don’t even have to give them a credit card number to look the site over.
If you have a job that needs to be done, there are two ways to get a contractor at oDesk (oDesk calls them Providers) to get the job done. The first way is to post the job on oDesk and let Providers bid on your job. Once posted, you’ll normally have a dozen or more bids within 24 hours.
The second way – which is the way I do it in my network marketing internet business – is to search for Providers and ask them if they would be interested in the work. The information provided on oDesk about their Providers is what makes oDesk so much better than the rest. oDesk provides their Providers with the opportunity to take efficiency tests and their scores on these tests are provided to you. There are 312 tests in all and range from “U.S. English Basic Skills”, “U.S. Vocabulary”, “HTML 4.01″, to “Advanced Java”. Many, many, many different tests.
The Providers are happy to take these tests if they have the required skills because they know that it increases their chances of finding a job. When searching for Providers, you have a variety of ways to search for them. You can search by keyword, category(such as “writing and translation”), test scores, location, or by hourly rate.
After you enter your search criteria, you are given a list of potential Providers that you can review and choose from. ODesk provides you a host of information about each Provider including feedback from previous employers. oDesk also provides you information on how long it took the Provider to complete the job.
I often try to select Providers from the Philippines. They have an excellent work ethic and many of them are university students. Working for $3-$4/hr. is excellent pay for them and most of them have excellent English skills. But, always check them out.
I always ask a potential Provider to take a test before I hire them. For instance, if I need a number of articles written, I’ll ask them to write me an article. I tell them up front that if I like the article, I will pay them for it. But, if I don’t like it, I tell them that it’s not up to my standard.
Providing good, clear instructions to the Provider is so important. It’s best if you can show the Provider a video of what you want them to do. For example, if you want a Provider to build some back-links for you, take a few minutes and show the Provider on video the type of sites you want them to build back-links on and what type of information you want in those back-links.
If you have not done video before in your network marketing internet business, you can use sites like Camtasia or JingProject. Camtasia is very professional, but a bit expensive. JingProject is a brother site to Camtasia, but is free to use. The only problem to JingProject is that your videos are limited to 5 minutes or less. But, if you can’t provide enough information to your Provider with just one video, provide them with two videos. It’s free.
The last thing that I like to do when resourcing a Provider on oDesk is to ask them to connect with me over the internet using Skype. This enables me to talk directly to them to see if we can make a business-like connection and it allows me to judge their use of the English language.
After I have found and used a Provider, I review that Provider and provide that information to oDesk. I always try to be honest and straight-forward. I know that others will use my reviews to help their business’s.
If I am very pleased with a Provider, I try to stay in touch and use them on future jobs. I even try to further develop them. For example, I had one Provider who did an excellent back-link development job for me and he spoke good English. I asked him if he wanted to try writing some articles for me. He said that he had never done that before, but that he would try. He’s now one of my best freelance writers.
Don’t do all this work yourself! Your network marketing internet business needs you as the captain of the ship – not doing all the grunt work. Steer the ship and outsource the manual labor.
