1. If you are using Google Adwords, try to always use your main keyword in the title of your ad and in your URL. Google Adwords will give every ad a quality score which effects how well your ad will place as well as the price of your ad. Google likes to see your main keyword in the title and the URL.
2. Quite often Google Adwords will tell you that your bid on your keyword is not high enough for your ad to place on page one. Be cautious about immediately changing your bidding. I have received these messages even though my ad showed an average placement of 3.2 – just about exactly where I wanted it. Remember, Google is also trying to make money and they will send you all sorts of marketing messages. Watch your ad and make changes to your bidding only if you really need to.
3. Did you know that you can add a word or phrase after your URL? For example, if your URL address is www.QuickWeightLoss-Diet.com, you could make it www.QuickWeightLoss-Diet/Fast. Google permits this and it can add an extra boost to your ad.
4. Most advertisers try to get their ads to place at the #1 spot. I prefer getting my ads to rank at the #3 to #4 spot. The ads that place highest get too many “tire kickers”. Besides, placement at the the #3 or #4 spot is still highly visible, costs less, and has paved my way for this internet income opportunity.
5. The ad that will jump out most to someone searching for a term is the one that has the same exact search term used in the title of the ad. You can accomplish this on Google Adwords by putting brackets around your title, followed by “keyword:ads suggeted title”. For example, here is the way I make my titles for Google Adwords – {keyword:Quick Weight Loss}. Now, if someone is searching for “Fast Weight Loss”, my ad would show with it’s title showing “Fast Weight Loss”. The only time my add would appear as “Quick Weight Loss” is if the search term is too long for my ad or if that was the same search term that they were looking for. Pretty neat,huh?!
6. Most advertisers are going to lose money when they first start PPC advertising. Eight-to-nine out of every 10 ads will be a failure. My suggestion to those starting out at PPC advertising is to start out slow with only two or three ads. I stop an ad when I have spent half of what I would have made if the product had sold. Yes, I look for at least a 2-to-1 return. Once I have found a successful ad, I keep that ad and I start another ad. After a while, I had 10 successful ads and I was still only adverting with 12 ads. I started out losing money, but now I am making money. Money that will keep coming in for a long time.
7. You can cut down on how long it takes to find successful ads by spying on your competitors. I used Google Cash Detective to do that and you can read my article on that by reading PPC Is A Legitimate Business Opportunity. It’s a quick way to find an internet income opportunity.
8. Do pay-per-click advertising on search engines other than Google, Yahoo, or Bing. Yes, these are the big boys and they do get the most traffic. But, there are lots of other search engines and they also get a lot of traffic. 9. Many ads that are successful on one search engine will also be successful on other search engines. But, not always. Every search engine has a slightly different set of unique users. For example, if you are promoting a product that would be most valuable to another business, Google Adwords would be the best place to market that product. Or, if what you are advertising is more family related or female related, Yahoo would be the best search engine. If you take a successful ad and start promoting it on another search engine, watch it closely.
Pay-per-click advertising can be tricky, but it is a huge market. Most people that are doing internet marketing try PPC and fail. Most jump in too quickly and lose a lot of money. Take my advice and go at it slowly. Don’t be surprised if you initially lose money. Find successful ads and build upon them. Eventually, you will create an internet income opportunity with a long lasting stream of income.

If approved, Google generates a HTML code that has to be entered into the website. After that is done, ads will start appearing on the website. Commissions are paid after the total exceeds $100. They are paid out once per month and are made in the month following the date your commissions totaled $100. For example, if on November 10th your commissions totaled $100 or more, Google will send you a check before the end of December.
One of the things that the HTML code does that Google issued and requested the publisher to enter on his website is that it helps Google’s spider better understand what the website is about. That way, Google can do a better job at targeting its’ adds. If the website is about trout fishing, all of the adds will be related to trout fishing.
The publisher can also decide where on the website the ads appear and also the size of the ads. The publisher may want the ads to only appear width-wize across either the top or bottom of the website. Or, he may want them going up-and-down on the left or right hand side of the page. The publisher makes these decisions.
So, if you have any type of website and have not signed up for Google Adsense, give it some serious thought. Some publishers don’t like the way the ads look on their website and others believe it detracts the attention of the visitors. Choose The Right Search Engine for Your Internet Income Opportunity
If you are an affiliate and doing pay-per-click advertising, choose the right search engine to make your internet income opportunity a success. Most affiliates advertise on Google, Yahoo, or Bing!. After all, these are the big boys. But, did you know that there are many other search engines you can advertise on and that these search engines also have significant traffic. Well, there are and lots of them. The one I like best is called 7Search.

4.Title and Body Length – You can have a much longer title and ad length with 7Search. On Google Adwords, your title must be no longer than 25 characters and your ads body can be no longer than 70 characters – two lines of no more than 35 characters each. On 7Search, your title can have up to 40 characters and the ad’s text up to 190 characters. I don’t always use all of these characters, but it certainly enables me to be a bit more descriptive with the product or service that I am trying to sell.
5. Customer Service – 7Search’s cutomer support is known for being fast, responsive, and friendly. I normally get a response the same day I email them. Or, if I can’t wait a few hours, they have provided me with a phone number where I can call them. Google won’t do that!
7Search has allowed me to increase my pay-per-click advertising with an excellent ROI. Google is still the “Giant” and attracts most of the advertisers, but I will use this “slingshot” to build my internet income opportunity.
PPC Is A Legitimate Business Opportunity
Pay-per-click advertising is a legitimate business opportunity with a huge income potential. For those that don’t know what PPC advertising is, it is the placement of ads on an internet search engine and the person that places that ad is trying to sell a product, service, or generate a lead. A successful advertiser can make a lot of money. But, there is a “KEY” to being successful which I will explain furthur below.
What is really nice about this type of business is that you don’t even have to own the product. You don’t even have to possess or even see the product. There are thousands of merchants that will pay a commission to someone else if they will market and sell their products and services. The person who does market and sell these products is called an affiliate and the business they are in is called affiliate marketing.
Where do affiliates find products to sell? One huge marketplace is called Clickbank. Clickbank is an affiliate program network that acts as a middle-man between the owners of products and the affiliate. Clickbank has thousands of products to sell, pays 50% or higher in commissions, and is free to join. Anybody can sell products from the Clickbank network.
Now that an affiliate has a product to sell, where and how do they sell these products? Two major places to sell these products are on the Google and Yahoo search engines. Did you know that over 293 million people visit the Google search engine each day? These markets are enormous! And, how do you sell on these search engines? The most popular way is by pay-per-click advertising.
In pay-per-click advertising, an affiliate places an ad on the search engine and those ads appear when someone is searching on that engine. These ads generally appear at the top and right-hand side of the page. If someone clicks on that ad, they are taken to either the affiliates landing page or a landing page provided by the owner of the product or service being sold. When on these landing pages, the person doing the search has an opportunity to purchase the product or service.
The catch to this type of advertising by an affiliate is the cost for that pay-per-click. Every time someone clicks on an affiliates ad, the affiliate is charged a predetermined price for that click. The affiliate needs to negotiate with the search engine to try to get a cost for that click that is low enough so that in the long run the affiliate makes a profit. Not every click will lead to a sale.
Choosing the right product to sell is also important. Some products will sell faster than others. Some products have higher commissions.
The ad itself is important. The way an ad is written will heavily influence a sale. One single word can make a difference.
Landing pages are important. The landing page is where the affiliate is provided the opportunity to convince the visitor that they cannot live without the product or service being offered. Wording and visual presentation are vital.
So, what started out appearing as an easy legitimate business opportunity is actually a lot more complex. A lot of affiliates have found that out. Many affiliates have lost a lot of money in pay-per-click adverting. If you visit a lot of the forums on internet marketing, you will find many have lost their shirt-tails in pay-per-click advertising. But, a lot of money has also been made. Let me show you how I found out how to do it.
I had given up on pay-per-click advertising. I tried advertising on Google and lost a lot of money. I tried advertising on Yahoo and Bing! and I lost money. Oh, I sold some products and at one point I had even made a little profit. But, a few days later that profit was gone and I was losing money, again. So, I gave up on PPC. That is, until I found the “KEY” to this type of advertising.
The “KEY” that I am talking about is some sophisticated software called the Google Cash Detective. This software sends it’s own spiders into the Google search engine several times a day and records all of the affiliate ads. It records the ad, the landing page for that ad, the product being sold, the ranking of that ad in Google’s search engine, how long that ad has been running, all of the keywords that belong to that ad, and an estimate of the cost for those keywords. To use the Google Cash Detective, you input any keyword that you want to check out and the software will provide you a listing of the ads that are using that keyword in Google. The ads are displayed so that you can see all of the information that it has been recording. By noting how long an ad using a specific keyword has been running, you can almost determine for certain if the ad’s owner is making money!
For example, take the keyword “quick weight loss tips”. Google estimates that this keyword gets 12,100 searches per month and that the average cost for that keyword is $2.11/click. If you found an ad that was using that keyword and that ad had been found on Google for 181 of the last 185 days and that it was last seen yesterday, wouldn’t you assume that ad and keyword were successful? Sure you would! After all, you couldn’t afford to run that ad unless it was successful (by the way, I found that ad while writing this article!).
Once you have found a successful ad, check out all of the keywords, the product or service, and the landing page. Find out if you can also sell this same product. If you can, you can now clone, copy, or modify this ad using the same keywords. That way, you can be profitable immediately. No more trial and error.
Is the Google Cash Detective inexpensive? I guess that’s determined by how you define the word “inexpensive”. I pay about $3.30/day to use the software, but I am making much more than that with the profitable campaigns that I have been able to create. Much more than that!

Creating an Address for Your Network Marketing Internet Business
Once you have decided to create your own network marketing internet business or any legitimate business opportunity on the internet, you will have to decide on an internet address and register it online. Creation of that address and how you register it is important and can effect your ranking in the search engines.Give it some careful thought!
The URL address that you create should contain your main keyword and so should your business name. Search engines like this and it helps improve your rankings. For example, if you are creating a web business to sell golf clubs and your main keyword is “quality golf clubs”, than ideally your web address should be “www.qualitygolfclubs.com” (or .net, .info, .org, .us, or etc). And, your business name might be “Quality Golf Clubs for Less”. Don’t be surprised or disappointed if you find that www.qualitygolfclubs.com has already been taken by somebody else. There have been over 100 million domain names registered on the internet, already. If it has been taken, you can change it slightly or add a hyphen (-) until you find a web address that has not been taken. Examples: qualitygolf-clubs.com, quality-golf-clubs.com, qualitygolfclubsforless.com, etc. Try not to use over two hyphens (one, preferably) and just be sure the URL address has your main keyword.
The extension that you use to create the URL for your network marketing internet business is important, also. Not so much from a search engine ranking point-of-view, but from a business standpoint. Most people are familiar with .com addresses. If you are starting an internet business, you want an address that most people will remember and it is easier for them to remember a .com extension than any other. The second best extension is .net. And, the third best is .org. To maximize your internet income opportunity, stay away from the other extensions.
There are many sites to register the domain name for your web site. The three sites that I prefer are GoDaddy.com, NameCheap.com, and HostGator.com.
When registering a domain name, always check the internet for discount coupons. GoDaddy is the industry giant and their standard cost for registering a .com name is $10.69/yr.. For coupons, check www.DealTaker.com and you can usually find a discount. I usually use GoDaddy to register a domain name when I can find a good discount coupon.
NameCheap.com is normally the least expensive site to register a domain name. They are user friendly and their standard rate for a .com name is $9.69/yr.. Check www.NameCheapCoupon.com for discount coupons.
Typically, HostGator.com is the most expensive site to register a domain name. Their standard rate for a .com name is $15.00/yr., but, sometimes you can find big discounts at www.RetailMeNot.com. When I start to register a domain name, I check here, first. I believe HostGator is the best site to host a web site and if I can also get a good enough coupon for registering the domain name at the same site, it just makes the network marketing internet business a little bit easier.
Besides creating an entirely new domain name, you can also search for and buy pre-owned domain names. You can search for and buy these at Afternic.com, Sedo.com, and BuyDomains.com. But, if you do this, be prepared to perhaps pay a lot of money. The most expensive domain name ever purchased was Sex.com which was bought by Escom LLC on January 19, 2005. They paid $14,000,000 for that name. So, decide how much you would be willing to pay before you go looking for a name for that internet income opportunity.
One other thing that you can do in searching for a domain name is to look at domain names that have been registered, but are getting ready to expire. Take a look at the site SnapNames.com to find a listing of these. If you find a name that you like, you will have to wait until it actually expires to pick it up. But, it can be a name source for that network marketing internet business that you are creating.
